A scenic and rural cycling sportive through rural Northumberland, starting and ending in the town of Wooler. The 100km will stretch the accomplished and the 60km will provide a beautiful challenge to those keen to give it a go.

We hope everyone has had a great Easter weekend! We had a lovely trip to Ross sands, a fabulous beach, about half an hours drive away from Doddington.

This superb beach is pretty much always peaceful, even on Bank holiday weekends, as there is a short walk of about a mile to get there, but we hope you’ll agree it’s worth it!

Look north and you can see Holy Island and Lindisfarne castle, face south and there’s Bamburgh castle, beyond the mud flats of Budle bay.

At certain times of the year, there can be access restrictions (which will be signposted) because of nesting birds, but all was clear this weekend!!

OPEN now for the 2024 season, we’re just down the road from Chillingham, approx 5miles!

We’re only 14 miles from Seahouses, and would thoroughly recommend a trip to the Farne Islands!

This tour includes a cruise around all the Farne Islands, viewing the sea birds on the cliff faces, visiting the Grey Seal colonies and also follows the route Grace Darling and her father took during their heroic rescue in 1838.

We’re working on the outside space for the West Wing. We want our guests to have their own private area, where dogs can be walked, accessed by its own private driveway. Cars can be parked off the road, safely within the walled garden.

The bedroom in the DoddingtonWestWing is great size with an extra long super king size bed. If you require twin beds the zip and link feature allows us to make them up as extra long twin beds!

Getting ready for our first guests of 2024, Neill is sweeping the courtyard, before gravel goes down, and the electrician has been in to complete the PAT tests on all the electrical items ✅ Bring on summer 😎

Our West Wing offers complete independence from the farmhouse, with its own separate entrance. The door (with date stone above) opens into a private courtyard, so you can enjoy your morning coffee or sit and listen to the fantastic bird song from around Doddington!

Almost ready to welcome visitors, this comfortable lounge is well equipped with WiFi, books, jigsaws and games. Take it easy, or use our West Wing at Doddington as a base to explore Northumberland?!

Getting there with the kitchen, just waiting for the odd picture to finish things off! This kitchen easily seats 4, but is cosy enough for 2 to dine comfortably. We have a Miele dishwasher to do the work, and a washing machime should you need that on your holiday.
