A pretty good day today, A few Plaice and some nice Bream, also this Ray at 18.4 lbs...as a point to note, I can't recall anyone who actually fished for a Ray not catching one...

Some nice PLaice around, and Cod showing too, only a matter of days one would suspect before the Whiting show too...

Winter...4 trips between November and February...stacks cancelled due to high winds...Got out Friday, at last, Plaice from around 2lb to 2.5lb, First Bream of the year (a good keeper) a few whiting, also keepers. Only getting better from now, with really good catches of Bream due in a few weeks or so, if your thinking of Bream fishing in the next month or so, then get it booked as it's that time of year now where things kick off...

Ok so firstly the excuses for a 4 month lack of posts,,my lad was in hospital for 8 weeks, so no fishing for me...I then broke my Sternum (obviously bare knuckle cage fighting..) So no fishing for me..then Christmas happened and I was away. then I had to go away again, so no fishing... Then I had to do some actual work, to pay for skiing and other such luxuries ;) so finally I am here posting...So the Winter was pretty epic aboard Adelaide, From September Cod were being caught, pretty much always on Bream gear, and through the winter months there were a nice amount of Codling and Whiting,Cod again nearly always on small hooks/baits meant for whiting. Since Christmas pretty much every trip has seen at least 1 cod. Around a week or so ago Adelaide was the first boat of the year to bag a bream, a male to just under 2lb :)

I finally got out today and despite a Easterly wind (this is the kiss of death for fishing) it was not too bad, a cod to 5lb on a lure, drifting Kingmere Reef, and quite a few whiting, though a little small, plus 2 plaice up to 2lb, pretty much the other guys had similar fish, apart from the cod...Considering this can be a "tricky" month it seems really good generally at the moment. Cod catches are the best for like years, The plaice are starting to show, and bream cant be that far away...I think this year will be a good year all round...

So...whats been happening on Adelaide during October...Mainly the boat has been bobbing up and down in the harbour, has to be one of the worst Octobers for wind! The couple of times she has got out have been pretty damm good, lots of nice Plaice and Lots of Codling :) Also this month there have been few Cod...up to 17lb! considering how warm the water currently is, this could bode well for the winter cod fishing. November should really see more of the same. On a foot note if anyone wants to post any pictures here be it on Adelaide or anywhere then please do, And please feel free to post your own reports on the fishing, be it on Worthing pier or on a boat :) oh and one more thing...If you go into Prime Angling in Worthing and tell them you came via Adelaide you will get a 10% discount on your purchase. It's a really great shop with a real good selection of gear, and their fresh bait is out of this world!

Got out yesterday, had in mind to stock up my freezer a little with Bream, Had a few...but as the fishing was slow i went for hounds. They have to be one of the best fish around for the excitement factor, endless energy and endless fun on 6lb class gear.
