I am passionate about all aspects of travel and have been to many destinations including France, Spain, Dubai, Canada, Cuba and Morocco. I moved to The Canary Islands when I was 18 and lived on Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and eventually Nerja on the Costa del Sol and loved every minute of it! I love going on city breaks and taking in the culture and sites. My favourite pastime is flying

down a mountain on my snowboard, and I have extensive knowledge of many ski resorts in Europe and beyond. With me, getting your travel experience right really is personal. I always strive to offer the best service possible. We work hard for our holidays, so every aspect of them should be just right – as I believe a holiday starts right from the moment of searching for that perfect getaway. Being a Travel Counsellor gives me an opportunity to offer my clients exactly what they want, when they want it. Due to changes in validity since Brexit, your passport is now only valid for 10 years from the ISSUE date on your passport.

If you applied for your passport early the extra unused months from your previous passport were added to the passport. These extra months are no longer valid.

Completely behind my friends and colleagues setting off for London today. Our industry is suffering so horrendously and we need the government to listen and help us.

We have the variants here, higher case numbers than many countries that we aren’t allowed to travel to, but are happy to have 1000's in a football stadium, without 10 days of isolation afterwards?!?

Other industries are being saved, while ours suffers and people lose the businesses that they have spent their career building and the jobs that they love 😢

While we await news this week, hopefully, on what the government are going to do regarding double vaccinated travellers, thousands of people across the travel industry have planned a Travel Day of Action in London. With colleagues from across the industry including travel agents, tour operators, airlines, their pilots & crew, and airport groups, we are lobbying our government to try and get them to listen to what is happening to our beloved industry!

Throughout the pandemic we are undoubtedly the sector which has been hit hardest – thousands have already lost jobs. I have been a little more fortunate than some, but moving forward we need something to sell when this is all over. We need our tour operators, hotels and airlines to survive, so ultimately you as customers can, in future, continue to have affordable holidays, business trips and to have the ability with ease to visit family, friends and loved ones abroad.

The EU and USA are opening up but the UK seems to have gone backwards, even though we are well ahead with our vaccination program.

We are all fighting for one common goal – and that is to safely reopen international travel.

We are an industry worth £37 billion a year to the UK economy, accounting for nearly 2% of GDP, supporting over half a million jobs across the UK, but can you believe the industry has not managed to get even one meeting with our PM or Chancellor of the Exchequer?
I am all for watching the Euros and it’s great to see so many people getting enjoyment from it. But letting 60,000 fans into Wembley, when people are losing their livelihoods??

Just watching GMB. Am so sick of hearing we have to go by the data, we're looking at the data, roadmap pausing blah, blah, blah. Yet certain people are allowed to come into the country without isolating. Including the business minister that is on there now. Michael Gove was allowed to come back into the country and take part in some trial where he didn't have to isolate. Maybe I should see if I can get diplomatic immunity when I come back from France? Please watch this video from a fellow travel agent. This is what we have all had to deal with over the last 15 months, and still it carries on. No help in sight for us who have had to continue working for no pay to ensure our customers are looked after and cared for in the way that we always do. This isn't just about holidays, as I've said before, it's about reuniting families, ensuring businesses can restart and getting some sort of normality back. Covid is NOT going away, we have to learn to live with it. The vaccination programme is working. International travel must be allowed to recommence, without the need for expensive testing and isolation.
