That's our Christmas Cruises finished and they were certainly different, no thanks to Storm Darragh. Our plans had to change due to the amount of fallen trees over and in the canal, however, I think our guests still had a wonderful time. A few pics to show what we're up against. A big thank you to our guests for their understanding and also thanks for the presents Henry and myself received - thank you. These were definitely a couple of cruises to remember 😀

Peaky Blinders were filming on the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct this weekend. Before filming their boats were moored in Chirk Marina alongside Duke No3 :) Sadly we didn't get an offer to appear in the show :)

Our 2024 Season has finished and we've covered some wonderful routes throughout. We've travelled on canals new to us and completed an amazing crossing over the River Mersey. Our guests have been fantastic and going by our guest book they've all had a great time. We've covered hundreds of miles, spent many hours in the dark transiting through tunnels, raised and lowered in many locks and opened plenty of swing/lift bridges. I'd like to thank our guests for entrusting us with their holiday, Canal and River Trust Staff and Volunteers for all the assistance received, The Marinas that have hosted us throughout the year, Henry for being Henry and finally Taff for for all you do. As the boat is put away for the winter we look forward to 2025 which is fully booked. An extensive maintenance period first but I'll wait a few weeks before that starts, first it's time to relax. Thank you :)

Cruise 10 - Northwich to Llangollen. What looked like to be the wettest cruise of the year actually surprised us with some lovely sunny days. The cruise saw us take in 2 of the canal wonders: Anderton Boat Lift and Pontcysyllte Aquaduct. Plenty of other boats especially on the Llangollen Canal. As an extra we also dropped onto the Montgomery Canal for an evening. All in all a lovely cruise with both returning and new guests, all lovely and all had a fantastic time.

Cruise 9 - Liverpool to Northwich. A great cruise with plenty to see including the Three Grace's, Worsley Delph, Barton Sing Aquaduct and the Anderton Boat Lift. Lovely canals to cruise and surprisingly great weather including a mini heatwave. Lovely guests who all had a fantastic time.

Cruise 8 - Northwich to Liverpool. This cruise started with the Anderton Boat Lift and finished with a crossing across the River Mersey and everything inbetween. Everything on this cruise was great; route, guests and weather. I'm sure we'll cross the river again.
