Happy bank holiday weekend to all ✨

What are your plans? We hope whatever is in store for you it’s spent doing whatever fills your cup and with those you love ❤️

After the washout that has been this last week we’re hoping to get outdoors now the rain has subsided! ☔️ Although it’s given us a few days off from watering the plants we’re definitely ready for the sunshine should it choose to return! ☀️

Although we’re full for the rest of the month, do check out our June availability as we do have some free days should you wish to come and relax with us here ✨

Happy Friday to our followers, how are we all? ☺️

Was starting to think I was losing my mind looking out of the window yesterday.. rainy, freezing cold, grey clouds and even a shower of hailstone all in April! Praying for these warmer days to start kicking in so we can finally archive the winter coats as sadly mine is still in action. 🫣

In saying that, I can’t quite believe we’re almost at the end of April. This year seems to be flying by at a ridiculous speed, and it’s important to sometimes stop and take in what 2024 has brought thus far. How has this year been for you, what are you grateful for and what do you have to look forward to? 💛

It’s a pleasure living where we do at this time of the year. Life is reappearing everywhere and the place is a spring postcard 🌷🐣

Easter is a few days away and we’re very excited to kick back, eat alllll the chocolate and spend some quality time out in the fresh air. What are your Easter plans? We hope that whatever you have in store it’s happy and with those you love most. (And full of chocolate eggs!) 🌼🌱

Easter is hippity-hopping its way into The Old Moat Barn and we couldn’t be more delighted 🐰 🐣

Do you have your Easter plans sorted? We have an abundance of lovely things to do and explore in our local area. Perfect family days out and an abundance of scenic walks to take. The lambs are bouncing around the nearby fields and the supermarket shelves are overflowing with mini eggs and we couldn’t be happier! 🌷 🐑 🍫

We have some last minute availability this evening and tomorrow, and just a couple of dates left now for April so do be quick if you wish to book a little spring break with us. 🏡🌼

Happy March 1st everyone 🌼

The month of springtime. The month of the Pisces. The return of daylight saving, Easter, St Patrick’s day and natures chance to really start showing off again 🌷🐥🌸

We’re having a good old spring refresh and making the most of getting outdoors now the wet and wind seem to have cleared off (for the most part) 🤞🏻

Spring, is that you? 🌷

I can’t quite believe we’re into March on Friday, but the lighter nights and brighter mornings are slowly creeping in and we are totally here for it. 🌼🌸

The lambs are starting to appear in our local fields, there’s a freshness in the air and I must confess our house has already consumed some mini eggs. 🤭 🍫

Spring has always been my favourite season. I love watching nature come out of hibernation, when colour starts to reappear and everything seems full of promise. Have you started to make Easter plans yet? The unspoken rule of chocolate eggs being acceptable to eat at any time of day is the best 🐣🐥🍫

We do have a small handful of dates remaining in March and April if you’re looking to kick off the start of Spring in the countryside. Our local area comes to life at this time of year and it’s certainly not to be missed 💚

We’re over the moon to announce we’ve been awarded a traveller review award by 🏆 🥳

It seems so fitting a few weeks away from our first birthday to have been given this acknowledgement as The Old Moat Barn is shortly turning ONE 🍾

What a fantastic first year of hosting we’ve had, and that’s really all thanks to the incredible guests that we’ve had stay with us. It’s a pleasure to see the barn being enjoyed as it should be and introducing new people to our local area 🏡

Merry “In-between”mas to all our followers! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas doing whatever makes you happy with your nearest and dearest. 🎅🏻❤️

Santas first visit to The Old Moat Barn went down a treat and we’ve had the loveliest of festive guests these last few weeks. 🎄

We’re currently in the in between period and I have to say we’re absolutely loving it. I think there’s 2 camps, those that are up and out. Back to routine, back to healthy eating and waving goodbye to the festive drinks. And the other camp who are still fully in sloth mode, pjs remaining the daily uniform, cheese and mulled wine still very much in swing and making the most of everything that’s been recorded on tv. ❣️🎄

I’d say we’ve got a toe on both sides. The walks round our woods are being fully explored. There’s nothing like getting back out in the fresh air after ALL the eating and drinking. But I will confess to still opening the prosseco at lunchtime as this makes me happy! And I’m still happily making my way through the wedge of stilton that we were gifted and have been taking a cheeky nibble on each visit or so to the fridge 😂❣️

Whatever you’re doing we hope you’re taking time to relax where you can and prepare for the new year which we’re embracing with open arms. We have limited availability now for January but do click the link in our bio to see what we have left. 🏡🥂
