How do you travel when you come to visit us?
With the stunning York train station just outside the city walls this is always the best way to arrive. The city is small and easily walkable or you can hop on the York tourist buses.

A new and beautiful piece of street art in York- have you found it yet?
Ey up York is created by as part of York Festival of Ideas. The piece is also part of York BID’s ongoing programme to tell stories that reflect York’s unique history and identity through a mural trail, launching as part of the festival.
The Tansy beetle has been painted in York by street artist ATM. It’s a painting which captures the beetle’s unique shimmering green hue. An endangered species, the beetle is found only on a 30km stretch of the River Ouse. ATM is an artist well known for his depiction of endangered species.

Many of our larger properties have one room with a zip and link bed which allows you the flexibility to have a super king-size bed or 2 singles beds depending on the make up of your group/family.
We ask you to let us know a few weeks before arrival so the house is set up correctly for you.

Well, fox cub rescued and taken to RSPCA after a little drink of water and some cat food. One of the more unusual loads for the cargo bike...
Phodograpger - brilliant. Photo shoot outside our property next to the Minster
Fox cub trapped under the pavement grating of our neighbouring property - help is on the way to rescue - luckily we know the neighbour who is turning up to unlock the basement window. Just have to encourage the cub into a cat box then to transport to RSPCA to check over and consider next steps.
