Deer Park (aka The Gothick House) is a much loved family holiday home in 20 acres of Capability Brown park. The house sleeps 11 comfortably, in four double bedrooms and three singles, with three bathrooms. There is a large farmhouse kitchen, breakfast room, comfortable sitting room with woodburner, dining room and amazing 18th drawing room with views across the park. Guests are welcome to use the

park as their own: great for hide and seek, tree climbing, den making, stream paddling and generally messing about. Or simply sit quiet and watch the amazing variety of wildlife that a historic park supports. For days out, Deer Park, on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, is less than 30 minutes from a huge range of family attractions (Castle Howard, Flamingo Land, Pickering Steam Railway, Eden Camp, Sledmere House) the Yorkshire Coast, York and its many attractions, and excellent walking, riding and cycling (The North Yorks Moors, The Wolds). Hello. It's a chilly today with Kirkham Priory in the snow. This picture doesn't do justice to Kirkham, where else can you get wild swimming in the Derwent, an excellent pub (the Stone Trough) and miles of lovely woodland walks? Hello! Here's your for Saturday. Rosedale is just a small corner of the beautiful North York Moors, but wild as it looks, 200 years ago this was an industrial, mining landscape.
