We wish Mark Graham a big Happy 70th Birthday today.

Born in Leeds, where he served with distinction as a firefighter for 31 years. He is best known round York for leading Ghostwalks and many other tours round York and Yorkshire for the last 43 years. A proud Yorkshireman with an unrivalled knowledge on all things White Rose.

A stalwart of York tourism for many years and proud to run the Worlds First Ever Ghostwalk!

He has been supported throughout by his lovely wife Sharon.

Here's to many more years Mark!

Good afternoon folks,

Sorry no Ghost Walks:

Friday 13th June
Saturday 14th June.

We have to make room for York’s historic horse race meetings at the Knavesmire.

Expect it to be extremely busy in York, especially with the predicted good weather. Stay safe all.

We are back on Sunday 15th as usual .

Did you know? In the past hangings were done at the Knavesmire in the morning, followed by horse racing in the afternoon

We had a lovely couple who joined us on the Original Ghostwalk of York over the weekend. Always great to hear our guests had a wonderful time and even better to hear more stories of the Lucky Cane.
Best of luck for the future for them.

One of our favourite stories of the People of York.

🕯️“She never met her Granddad… but believe his ghost saved her life that night.

Walking past the old ruins on Carr Lane—where many families lived as far back as 1911—she felt a sudden pull, just before the wall collapsed.

Right by Bishop Hill Graveyard, where generations rest, one spirit still walks… protecting the granddaughter he never knew.” 👻🪦

In the mid 90s we were fortunate enough to take Jeff Watson on a tour of York.
Jeff was the first presenter for Australia's longest running travel show, Getaway, starting in 1992.
Here he is in the Museum Gardens with Mark, in signature Raven Black.

For over 50 years, our aim on the Original Ghostwalk of York is to tell the tales of people of our city; historical, genuine and authentic.
The Grand Opera House in York has many tales. We were fortunate to know Laura Scott, who looked after the venue for many years, she regularly exchanged ghost stories with us.
Mark recounts a first hand experience Laura had.
Join us this half term for more tales of York.

A reflection is more than just a mirror of the world. Have you ever caught a glimpse of something in the corner of your eye, only to find it gone when you turn? Felt a presence when no one is there?

The water reflects more than we can see, revealing secrets hidden from our sight. Join us on The Original Ghostwalk of York, where we lift the veil on the city's darkest and almost forgotten histories.
