Cheeky Chicken Cottage, located in the quiet and rural farming village of Huby, located 6 miles north of York

We are based on our private Animal Sanctuary Farm with over 60 rescued animals. We are minutes walk away from
Our excellent Cantonese restaurant, bus stop into York, village shop, traditional country village pub, play park, ice cream parlour, chippy etc. Within easy reach are YORK, the N

orth Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales, plus the popular East Coast which boasts favourites such as Whitby, Scarborough, Filey, Flamborough Head and Hornsea. The Huby area is popular for cyclists and walkers with many bridle paths, public foot paths, woods, lakes (fishing and not!) and trails for you to explore. The cottage is luxuriously appointed to sleep four, and boasts two cosy bedrooms. The bright open plan living area contains kitchenette with fridge freezer, stove and cooker, microwave, toaster, combination sandwich maker/waffle/panini grill, kettle, etc. Towels and bed linen are all supplied along with a super range of glasses, champagne flutes etc

The property has a dinette, three piece suite, shower room/toilet, smart TV, Netflix, wifi. Outside you have free parking, a private garden decked area which offers you a covered genuine pergola covered light changing whirlpool bath hot tub

We also have a camp site and an African Safari themed Glamping log cabin on our Animal Sanctuary farm.

Family fun on the farm with us? 😀

This is our private animal Sanctuary in Huby, near York.

We still have weekend and school holiday dates left -

Our friendly rescued animals love being petted, groomed, fed, walked etc by our guests.
(Chickens, donkeys, ducks, goats, sheep, ducklings, chicks, bunnies, guinea pigs, quail, cats, dogs, horses, tortoises, 🤣)

We offer family holidays for camping, glamping or a lovely cottage with hot tub.
All in a rural farming village location.

We are just minutes walk away from the bus stop into York, our excellent Cantonese takeaway/restaurant/pub, the village shop, country pub, cafe, play park, chippy, ice cream parlour etc.

We are also only an hours drive from the beach, the Moors, with local lake and river walks and lovely market towns to visit.

Look what just happened! ‘Loretta Legbar’walked proudly out of the hedge bottom with her 11 babies, she kept that quiet!

Here they are and their rescue team to thank. 🙌🐣🐓🐔🐥

Especially little Milly for spotting them and helping to catch them.

Children’s fun on the farm… 😃
There’s plenty to do here -
Petting, walking goats, sheep, chickens, donkeys. Mucking out, sweeping, feeding, watering, grooming, collecting eggs, hay nets, etc.

Kids and grown up kids love to meet our friendly rescued animals. 😁
