The finals of the GNBA U23 Basketball Championship 2024 between the Southern Elites and the Sport Solutions Tornadoes SC are tied at 1 each.
The Southern Elites won the 1st match-up on Thursday 2nd May 2024 at the Grand Anse Basketball Court by 13 Points, Final score being 77 - 64.
Leading for the Elites was #35 Akindé Redhead who scored 29 Points. He also had 7 Rebounds, 2 Blocked Shots, 3 Assists and 6 Steals.
#15 Torey George had 10 Points, 13 Rebounds, 2 Blocked Shots, 3 Assists and 3 Steals.
For the Tornadoes, #13 Michael Checkley had 23 Points, 7 Rebounds, 2 Blocked Shots and 1 Steal.
#4 Tyler Jeremiah scored 10 Points, 10 Rebounds, 1 Blocked Shot, 4 Assists and 1 Steal.
On Saturday 4th May 2024 the series was equalized at the La Borie Indoor Sporting Complex with the Sport Solutions Tornadoes SC winning by 5 Points, final score being 60 - 55.
Leading for the Tornadoes was #4 Tyler Jeremiah with 15 Points, 19 Rebounds, 4 Blocked Shots, 4 Assists and 3 Steals.
#12 Jayden St. Louis complimented with 13 Points and 5 Rebounds.
For the Elites, #35 Akindé Redhead had 34 Points, 11 Rebounds and 5 Steals.
#11 Jake Baptiste finished with 6 Points, 10 Rebounds, 2 Blocked Shots, 1 Assist and 3 Steals.
Congratulations to the Spotlight Ballers for claiming the 3rd place position in the game which preceded the 2nd final defeating the St. Mark Titans by 5 Points with the final score also being 60 - 55.
Leading for the Ballers was #1 Nathaniel Williams with 18 Points, 7 Rebounds, 2 Blocked Shots, 3 Assists and 4 Steals.
#8 Ron Thomas also had 18 Points with 4 Rebounds, 1 Blocked Shot and 3 Steals.
For the Titans, #5 Shennett Phillip had 17 Points, 13 Rebounds, 1 Blocked Shot and 1 Assist.
