Experience the breathtaking vistas of the Paragliding World Cup Aksaray 2023! Seven exhilarating days, covering a staggering 59,000 kilometers – equivalent to circumnavigating the globe 1.5 times. Remarkably, the top positions remained consistent over the entire week in both the overall and women's rankings. A round of applause for Cristian Deacu, who engaged in a gripping 1-hour and 26-minute battle during task 6!

Enormous gratitude extends to the task committee: Umut Aslan, Martin Jovanoski, and Idris Birch. Heartfelt thanks to Abdullah Kahraman's adept Aksaray team for orchestrating a flawlessly executed event, all accompanied by warm smiles.

To our pilots, your feats leave us in awe – exemplifying true sportsmanship and an unwavering commitment to safety. As Abdullah Kahraman puts it, you've transformed the 'Mission Impossible' into a reality. Let's raise our glasses to our champions:

Paragliding World Cup | Brasov, Romania 2023 | Task 3

Exciting Task 3 at World Cup Brasov! Pilots faced challenging conditions with a choice between flats and hills. Tricky wind and thermals tested their skills.

The lead gaggle tackled hills while a smaller group went for the flats. Some pilots managed to jump from mountain to mountain for the first turnpoint.

After the turnpoint, pilots pushed into the flats under blue skies. It looked like a glide to the ground, but they topped up and continued to the furthest turnpoint.

Weak thermals and leapfrogging at the front characterized the rest of the race. Some unfortunate pilots couldn't maintain height.

Congrats to Andrei Gaia for claiming the top spot on the podium and Jinhee Baek for being the only lady in goal. Well done to the top team: Alas del Hombre - Selever Bogdan-Tudor, Andrei Gaia, Dana Creta, Endre Cota.

Thanks to the organizers, meet director, task committee, and the mayor of Brasov for their warm welcome.

🌟 Unforgettable Moments from the Pre-PWC Skytribe Open 2023! 🌟

We experienced an absolutely amazing day at the second race of the Pre-PWC Skytribe Open 2023 in Clopotiva! The weather conditions were absolutely ideal for flying, providing us with an exhilarating experience. ☁️ The cloud base reached an impressive height of 2400 meters, treating us to awe-inspiring vistas from the sky.

While the competition was intense, not all of the 150 pilots were able to successfully complete the race. The demanding course pushed their skills and determination to the limit, turning every second into a precious opportunity. 🏆

As a devoted aviator, I have developed a deep fondness for flying in Romania! The breathtaking altitudes and smooth landings make it an absolute paradise for all aviation enthusiasts. 🛩️✨
