The Sun, snow, a church standing on the top of a mountain, with the peak of the Caucasus towering over it, beaming faces of tens of guests, sharing love at the table with gracious Georgian wine... Until 2011, probably no one knew that in ancient Tbilisi there was a Roman bath of the 1st-2nd centuries, a cellar of the 3rd-4th centuries, a fortification protective wall of the city of the 1st century, etc. In 2011, the construction of the church was named after the 40 Sebastian Martyrs began, and in addition to the list, a lot of ancient things were found during excavations.... Ateshgah (Atashgah)- Zoroastrian fire temple, 3-7th century, Tbilisi, Georgia. In some sources it is described as the "Northernmost Zoroastrian fire-temple in the world."
