RESOURCES AND HIKING GROUPS BELOW
Farewell for now ๐ I will be staying in Turkey for the foreseeable future, and growing into my relationship with my girlfriend. I am so grateful for all of the hikers, adventure, community and endless hours under the sunshine up on the mountain. You are all very special to me and I hope that you continue to hike around Tbilisi and Georgia and no harm ever comes to you. I hope to return to Georgia at some point, but I doubt I will continue to organize group hiking trips so that I can go out and explore more of Georgia on my own. Below are a list of resources that you might be interested in.
With that being said, I would like to recommend anyone looking for paid adventure hikes around Georgia to check out Gurleen Maan's endeavor Georgia's Traveling Crew. He has been in Georgia for approximately 7 years and traveled all around. He is a wonderful and kind person and I know that you will enjoy his trips.

If you are a photographer and are curious to explore the unknown parts of Georgia, then Thomas van Hemert is the right person to contact for organized photography tours.

Also, check out Shaun Harrison's website for Backpacking and Hiking information to help you explore the world

If you are a more serious hiker and want to try out mountaineering, climbing to the summit, canyoning, and the more technical excursions, I recommend you contact Jos, Petre Geladze for their extravagant adventures.
If you are looking for partners to join you on multi-day excursions, you must join the Hiker's of Georgia group. There are lots of people there that are very prepared, experienced, and equipped to camp and trek all through the caucuses. And also Jozif, the group admin's personal website, Caucasus-Trekking.com is an invaluable resource to exploring the remote regions of the caucasus.

Not hiking, but as this group is catered to English speakers in a foreign country, they might be interested in the community hub that Candy Treft has crafted at LOKAL Tbilisi. Its a great place to meet fellow digital nomads and travelers, and many more community events.

If anyone else has any resources to add. Please feel free to share them in the comments below.
Feel free to post your hiking events, and hiking related topics in the group. I will be moderating to make sure we do not get a lot of spam, or flooded with commercial tours. Those interested in posting commercial tours must first request permission before posting, else it will be removed.
See you all in the future โค
