This weekend tune into Channel 4's Fortress Britain with Professors Alice Roberts, Danielle George and Dr Onyeska Nubia which features the Islands of Guernsey.

Discover the islands' unique history and explore life under occupation, visit the underground hospital with Festung Guernsey and learn about the concentration camps built in Alderney. The Channel Islands were the only part of the British Isles under German control during the Second World War, and we are pleased to have supported the filming of this episode of Fortress Britain, covering such a significant piece of our Islands' history.

You can watch live on Channel4 at 8pm Saturday 1st April, or catch up on All 4 at https://www.channel4.com/programmes/fortress-britain-with-alice-roberts

From tomorrow, travellers who have received two doses of an MHRA-approved vaccine with the second dose received 14 days prior to travel, who have not travelled outside the Common Travel Area in the last 14 days, will be able to enter the Bailiwick with no self-isolation or testing requirements. These will be known as Blue Channel travellers.

Blue Channel travellers will need to provide details of their COVID-19 Status (date, batch details and type of vaccine).

To accommodate this change, updates to the Travel Tracker system will ‘go live’ early on Thursday morning. Whilst travellers can complete their journey details in the Traveller Tracker two days before arrival in the Bailiwick, we are asking travellers who qualify for the ‘blue channel’ to complete the Travel Tracker on their day of travel (1 July 2021).

We are delighted to soon be welcoming you back to our glorious Islands.

If you have had both your COVID-19 vaccines, the second being at least 14 days before you travel, you will not need to have a test or self-isolate if you arrive into the Islands of Guernsey from Thursday 1st July from the Common Travel Area (UK, Jersey, the Isle of Man or the Republic of Ireland).

Sadly, we have had to change our travel plans for those who are yet to be fully vaccinated, who will continue to follow the existing category requirements (https://covid19.gov.gg/guidance/travel/countries).

We understand you may have questions so we have started to gather in some frequently answered questions, including travelling with families and proof of vaccine, which can be found here: https://covid19.gov.gg/faqs/july

We know this has not been easy, but we are really looking forward to seeing you.
