Intransit has recently added an accessibility Iveco Irisbus to its fleet – with sixteen passenger seats – on Unwin quick-release fixings, which also offers a flexible combination of wheelchair positions when combined with regular seating. Three-point seatbelts are fitted to each seat, whilst wheelchair users have front and rear floortrack restraints, as well as floor-mounted three-point inertia seatbelt & retaining stalk.

Our staff are fully trained in the use of the underfloor Ratcliff Palfinger taillift and Unwin tracks – allowing easy and dignified access for all passengers.

Where group travel is a consideration, both for practicality and cost, Intransit is now able to offer a fully licenced vehicle at competitive rates.

Available for individuals and organisations, from single journeys through to ongoing contract work.

As of Monday 6th November - Route de Cobo is closed for resurfacing, and so this will have an impact on the Castel 3B bus service.

The diverted route will be as follows:- Rue de la Masse, St Matthews Church – Le Guet (back on scheduled route, and first stop at junction with top of La Giffarderie).

This will mean that any pupil whoi would normally catch the bus to use the Route de Cobo stop (end of Ruette des Cherfs) will have to make alternative travel arrangements for the rest of the term.

The coast road resurfacing at Rocquaine has been completed ahead of schedule, and the coast road re-opened to traffic, which means that all Intransit-run schoolbus routes are running to scheduled route.

Important message for pupils for the Castel School bus TOMORROW MORNING.

If you (or your child) normally catch this bus at the Chemin des Monts Estate, please note that due to the current roadworks, we will be picking up from the main entrance to the old King Edward VII Hospital.

SCHOOL BUS DIVERSIONS UPDATE:

Grammar 2A:
Due to the roadworks on L'Ancresse Road (which begin on Tuesday 12th September for an anticipated 3 weeks), the Grammar 2A service will operate a revised service, along La Route du Braye , turning right into Sohier Road, AND THEN TURNING LEFT AT THE FILTER_IN-TURN INTO LA MAISON AU COMPTE ROAD (AND ONWARDS ALONG THE VILLE BAUDU ROAD) before returning to scheduled route at La Route Militaire, and then onwards to Crossways and the Braye du Valle. Pupils who would normally catch the bus in the section between the Sohier Road filter and Vale Church are advised to catch the bus in the diverted section of the route (as above) or at the Vale Mission Hall bus stop in Route Militaire.

Vauvert Primary 1A:
Due to the emergency roadworks on Collings Road this coming weekend (Friday 15th - Sunday 17th Sept) - please be aware that the Vauvert Primary 1A schoolbus will be approaching from Les Ozouets on Friday 15th September. The bus will run the following route that morning:-
Collings Road - Rohais - Les Gravees - The Grange - Brock Road - Doyle Road – Vauvert – Vauvert School

SCHOOLBUS SCHEDULED DIVERSIONS w/c 12th & 19th June 2017:-

THIS WEEK:-

LA HOUGUETTE PRIMARY 3A & 3B SERVICES
From Monday 12th June (for three days), both the La Houguette 3A and the 3B service will be subject to diversions - due to the closure of Rue du Mont Saint. The revised morning service will run as follows:-
0755 - Longue Rue (junction with Rue des Crabbes); 0800 - Lemon Grove; Rue de la Maladerie; Perelle Garage; Rue de Felconte (back on scheduled route to school).
The afternoon service will divert after the Longue Rue, via Lemon Grove and Rue de la Maladerie, through Rue du Hamel before ending at Rue des Hougues.

GRAMMAR 8A
From Monday 12th June (for three days), due to the closure of the Rue du Mont Saint, the Grammar 8A will run in reverse from St Apolline's Chapel (0740), EASTBOUND along La Grande Rue, and then via Longue Rue and La Route des Jeremies, before rejoining the scheduled route at Rue de la Maladerie. (Please note that the diversion is because of positioning the bus - and not through any road closure actually on the scheduled route).

FORTHCOMING CLOSURES w/c 19th June 2017:-

LA HOUGUETTE PRIMARY 3A & 3B SERVICES
From Monday 19th June (until 7th July) the Rue du Mont Saint will be closed to allow Guernsey Water to carry out work. As a result, the La Houguette 3A service will operate the following revised routing:-
07.55 Lemon Grove Estate - heading via Longue Rue, Grande Rue & Le Felconte and onwards as per scheduled route. Pupils who would normally catch the bus in the Rue du Mont Saint and the Rue des Huraix should, during this time, catch the bus along this revised routing.
Afternoon 3B services will drop along Longue Rue in a similar manner.

GRAMMAR 8A
We’ve been advised that Les Rouvets (between the Camp du Roi traffic lights and the Rue de Haut) is closed for road repairs for one day on Wednesday 21st June. As a result, the Grammar 8A service will divert after Les Martins, via Rue Sauvage and the Route du Camp du Roi before heading back on route at the Landes du Marche.

SCHOOLBUS DIVERSIONS UPDATE:

With effect from Monday 8th May - for an expected 3 weeks, LMDC4A will divert due to the closure of Rue Perelle in St Saviours. During this period, the bus will follow the main road passing La Houguette School, and as far as L'Eree Hotel, before following the coastline northwards via Le Catioroc and back onto scheduled route at Perelle Garage. The Grammar 8A service will commence at 07.40 each morning from Perelle Garage for the duration of the closure.

States Traffic & Highway Services have advised us of a closure between 24th & 26th May of a section of coast road near to the Peninsula Hotel (Les Dicqs). As a result of this (in addition to the ongoing closure of the road between Grande Rue, St Saviours & Perelle Garage), the Grammar 8A service will follow a diverted route as below:-

07.40 Depart Perelle Garge heading northwards (on normal route). The service will continue until La Passee, before turning inland, and rejoining the scheduled route at Pleinheaume, and continuing onwards to Grammar School. It is anticipated that the bus will reach Pleinheaume at approx. 7.50/7.55 – so will be several minutes earlier than normal on this part of the route.
Pupils who would normal catch the Grammar 8A service at Le Picquerel and L’islet are advised to catch CT Plus service Grammar 1A at the Isabelle Vets/L’Islet Bakery bus stop in Les Tracheries. CT Plus are aware of potential extra pupils, and have advised that the bus should pass this stop between 07.55 and 08.00. The 1A service continues along to Les Martins, and then via Rue Sauvage towards the Grammar School.

All other Intransit routes are expected to run to schedule.

GRAMMAR 8A SCHOOLBUS SERVICE

Contrary to a notification of extended roadworks in Les Rouvets, we have now been advised that work has been completed. As a result, the GRAMMAR 8A service will return to scheduled route with effect from Monday 6th February.

As part of the Channel Islands Heritage Festival 2017, Intransit will be running The Old Number 11 Excursion each afternoon, on the following dates:-
9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th April, and 1st & 7th May.

Starting out from St Peter Port, and following the former No. 11 bus route via St Peter's out to The Imperial - with a guided walk out to Fort Pezeries & The Fairy Ring. After returning to the bus at Portelet, there's time for a little light refreshment, before a trundle up the west coast and back round to St Peter Port. Starting and finishing at the Liberation Monument at 2pm (finishing at 5pm).
£12.50 per adult (one child under 16 goes free with each paying adult).

GRAMMAR 8A SERVICE - DIVERSION - LES ROUVETS ROADWORKS
Please note that due to work at Les Rouvets in the Vale by Guernsey Electricity commencing on Monday 30th January, the Grammar 8A service will divert after Les Tracheries & Les Martins through Rue Sauvage, and then onwards southwards through the Route du Camp du Roi, before rejoining the scheduled route at the Landes du Marche traffic lights. Pupils who would normally catch this service in the Plaisance / Barras Lane / Les Rouvets area are advised that they can catch the re-routed service by waiting at any scheduled bus stop on the diversion given above.

All other school bus services provided by Intransit are expected to run as normal.
