At 150 locations in 93 countries around the world, the German Chamber Network (AHKs) offers its experience, network and services to German and foreign companies. AHKs are located in all countries which are of special interest for German industry and business. The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana is part of the worldwide AHK German Chamber Network. As a Delegation, it is the prel
iminary stage for a bilateral Chamber of Commerce. The Delegation is closely connected to the Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs) in Germany. Together, they support German companies with promoting and extending their business relations to foreign countries. The umbrella organisation of the IHKs is the German Association of Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), which also coordinates and supports the AHKs and Delegations. Furthermore, the cooperation with various German trade associations strengthens the link between AHKs and business markets.

High-quality dual vocational training requires excellent trainers and instructors who, in addition to having professional and personal competencies, must possess occupational and pedagogical knowledge, skills, and abilities.
The Competence Center Skills Development(TVET) at the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana (AHK Ghana) is organizing the 2nd edition of the AdA (Ausbildung der Ausbilder) International - Vocational Trainer Qualification course which will be taking place from 5th to 12th February 2024.
The AdA international vocational trainer qualification is based on the standards of the Trainer Aptitude Ordinance, AEVO in Germany and takes into account specific conditions in each country. This Train-the-trainer course is designed to equip vocational trainers/instructors with pedagogical and didactic skills and the capacity to enable them to train other people.
The course will run for a week after which an internationally approved examination will be administered. A pass in the exam will be awarded with the DIHK approved and internationally comparable AdA Basic certificate.

The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana (AHK Ghana) in collaboration with GIZ Ghana hosted the Global Business Services Summit (GBS Summitโ23) as part of the Ghana Digital Innovation Week from the 6th to the 8th of November 2023.
The 3-day event combined the expertise of IT/BPO experts from the UK, US, Germany, and Egypt, companies from abroad, and the local ecosystem to exchange views on the development of the industry in Ghana and explore business opportunities.
This event was implemented by the GIZ under the special initiative "Decent Work for a Just Transition" on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) under the brand name "Invest for Jobs".
