Umra Rites in Islam is regarded as the lesser Hajj that when performed, will have the same reward. It is said that Umra is one of the best deeds you can perform to gain closeness to Allah Almighty.
The Prophet of Islam (may Allah have mercy on Him) was quoted to have said “Alternate between Hajj and Umra, because bot rid one of poverty and sins”.
An authentic Hadith quoted the Prophet to have also said that, “Umra performed in the month of Ramadan will equal (in rewards) to that of Hajj and Hajj performed with me”..............click on the link to know more.
