INVITATION FOR PARTNERSHIP
Good Day
TPG wishes to inform our fans and every tourism lovers and enthusiast that we are embarking on a campaign to and creation on dubbed .
Tourism promotion Ghana believes that in our quest to make Ghana an attractive tourist destination and to attract all the positive benefit and mitigate the negative effect at the same time, we need to make the local communities where there is a potential a focal point and the centre of policy to achieving the social economic and developmtal benefits.
We recognise the emense benefit we can derive through engaging the locals who must be encourage and empowered to take various initiatives to make their environment accessible and fit for any tourism development to take place and to attract investment which will benefit the communities. Tourism we know is labour intensive and able to create jobs directand indirect.
We are hereby inviting individuals and groups who believes in the dream of making Ghana an attractive destination to come partner with us in this endeavor. We are available for more details and conversation on this and many more

. As we have a new Tourism minister yet to be confirm by parliament, we at wishes to congratulate her on her nomination and at the same time wish to say we hope to have a minister who is committed to the tourism agenda (Promoting Domestic Tourism).
We hope to have a minister who is accessible and ready to learn and take views from all players within the sector, not just those within her circle since that was what we have suffered under the past ministers and their deputies. We look forward for a minister who is innovative and who understands the role of tourism as a major contributor to economies across the world, not a ceremonial and fashion minister and the deputy like we had in the past. We hope u will surround yourself with open minded persons and not selfish and mediocre.
My advice for you is to find out what you can do in collaboration with the private players during your reign as a minister who will leave a legacy.
.we are willing and ready to support you in anyway or form we can to promote domestic tourism in Ghana. We look forward for a good working relationship with you.
Best wishes.

- is celebrated by the people of Anlo in the volta region of ghana every First week of November, couple of activities to make the celebration a success takes place.
A brief Description and History about The Hogbetsotso Festival.
The Hogbetsotso Festival is a annual celebration every November by the Anlos also called the ewes. The word Hogbe is an Ewe word meaning the day of departure which represents their story of migration from their past domicile. History documents it that the Anlos settled first at Ketu in Yoruba land which is near the Benin-Nigeria border before migrating to live in Notsiein central Togo. At Notsie, they came under the rule of an alleged wicked King called Agor-Korli who treated the Ewe so cruelly that they decided to escape.
A whole range of activities take place during the celebration of the festival from the first day to the day of the grand durbar. The inception of the festival dates back to the 1962 but now celebrated on the first Saturday of November every year at Anloga and ends on the next Saturday
The main objective of the celebration of this festival is to mark their journey from their former home in Togo, to their present settlement in Ghana. The festival is a great time for the people, as this marks a great time in their history and is a time for settling disputes among sub-chiefs and some prominent individuals and more importantly is to know each other.
The Miss Hogbetsotso is a must witness ceremony as a today additive to the range of activities to sustain the interest, entertainment and relaxation pleasure of visitors. This is where beautiful ladies of the Anlo land dress beautifully for a beauty pageant. The actual reason why this is organized as part of the festival is to use it as an opportunity to educate parents and invited guest on issues on Child Labour, Female Ge***al Mutilation, Causes of road accidents and possible solutions among other social and development issues. Each of these elegant ladies presents a paper on the key thematic issues outlined above. It is also a ceremony for showcasing the touristic potentials of the region.

SUSTAINABLE TOURISM

Tourism, it is evident, is a potential source of foreign exchange earning to developing and developed nations alike. It helps relieve unemployment problems, encourages private entrepreneurial activities and creates market for the handicraft industry.

Notwithstanding the above positive economic benefits, improper planning and management of the industry could result in the destruction of our environment and subsequently 'destroy' this lucrative and economically viable industry. What should we do to prevent the negative effects????.
Tell us what you think can be done. Your comments are welcome.

DAMBA FESTIVAL. 2015
Damba festival celebrated by most of the tribal groups of Muslim origin in Northern Ghana. This festival is celebrated by the chiefs and people of Dagbon, Gonjas, Mamprusis, Nanumbas and the Walas. The main aim for the merriment is to remember the birth and naming ceremony of the Holy Prophet Mohammed. Damba is celebrated in the months of March, June and July, among the various ethnic groups mentioned, thus it varies from one community to the other.

Damba festival is a twin festive namely; “Somo” Damba and “Naa” Damba. “Somo” Damba is celebrated to commemorate the birth of the prophet and Naa-Damba is held to mark his naming ceremony. Approaching the months named, Chiefs, elders and family heads not forgetting the local folk are always on the lookout for the moon of Damba. It is therefore common to see people raising their heads towards the sky each evening desperately awaiting the moon to shoot up. This is the month the Mamprusis call Damba “goori” or “billai”, the Gonjas term it as Damba “be-kuful” and the Dagombas call it Damba “gooli”. It may interest one to know why the ascent naming between the Mamprusis and the Dagombas appears to sound similar, it is because the two tribes were founded by the children of the legend Naa-Gbewaa, a rich history you would want to know more about among the Mole Dagbani states.
