Tomorrow, 10th September, is Gibraltar’s National Day! 🎉
A day full of fun, celebration, and the streets covered in red and white. Flags are hanging from windows, and the energy in town is incredible!

The day commemorates the 1967 referendum, when the people of Gibraltar overwhelmingly voted to remain under British sovereignty. The celebrations will end with a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the sky at 10 pm.

Happy National Day, Gibraltar! 🇬🇮

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming back a Danish family who visited us a couple of years ago. This time, they brought their friends all the way from Canada to experience our beautiful surroundings. The weather was perfect ☀️, and the visibility was even better. It was a joy to meet you all—thank you for visiting us again! 👍

As you can see in this photo, Barbary Macaques are born black and they gradually change colour, as they grow older. This is nature’s way of protecting new born babies from the cold (Black attracts heat). Here in Gibraltar it doesn't get that cold but its important to remember that the species comes originally from the the Upper Atlas Mountains in Morocco where it's practically frozen, all year round in some areas.
