Role Overview:
As the Assistant Operations Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our company. You will assist the Operations Manager in overseeing various operational aspects, coordinating activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Support the Operations Manager in overseeing and coordinating daily operations, ensuring efficient service delivery.
• Assist in managing a team of operations staff, providing guidance, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in waste management.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Administration, Environmental Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience) an advantage
• Previous experience in operations management or a similar role, preferably in the waste management or environmental services industry
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and waste management practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with various stakeholders
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality, accuracy, continuous improvement and problem solving
