The camp is located approx. 25 minutes by boat north of Ilulissat and lies secluded surrounded by incredible nature and unparalleled views to the Disco Bay🧊🐋
At arrival, we will make sure you’re fully comfortable and familiar with the pre-pitched tent and camping gear👌
We provide sleeping bags with fresh liners and mattresses. The tent has an easy-to-use kerosene heater and a gas stove burner with all nesscesary items for cooking your own food (cookware and utensils). There is also a toilet. The small village Oqaatsut is only an hour by foot from the camp🥾

Price for 2 people (1 night) is 2400 DKK including boat transfer to and from the camp location🛥️
Possibility for up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 kids🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

During the cold winter months, the big icebergs are stuck in the sea ice far east into the Kangia (Ilulissat Icefjord)🥶 As spring arrives☀️the sea ice slowly breaks up and the big icebergs make their way out of the Icefjord, until they run aground on the under water moraine ridge just in front of Ilulissat💥🪨🇬🇱 This one will probably stay throughout the summer!

GOOD LUCK to the Avannaata Qimussersua competitors!🤞🐕🇬🇱

Avannaata Qimussersua is a national dogsled race that takes place every year, being one of the biggest cultural events in Greenland🤩

This year’s race is held in Ilulissat on March 16th.

The competitors from all around the west and east coast of Greenland (above the arctic circle) compete in a demanding and unpredictable 40km race, where anything can happen! Whoever crosses the finish line first wins🏁🏆

MIDNIGHT SUN AND ICEBERGS IN ILULISSAT🕛☀️🧊

Between June and July, the natural phenomenon “Midnight Sun” (or “Polar days”) is at its highest☀️📆 For a very special few weeks, the sun is extraordinary bright and the skies are almost guaranteed crystal blue. Time becomes a fluid concept and the difference between day and night is mostly obvious by the store opening hours😅

This sets the perfect scene for one of the very best periods to experience the massive icebergs first hand🧊👀😮
