Destination Arctic Circle

Destination Arctic Circle We are a non-profit that promotes Greenland’s Arctic Circle region and helps develop its tourism potential.

We provide info for visitors and help tour operators create high-quality experiences that protect the region while ensuring local needs are met. Greenland’s Arctic Circle region includes the towns of Kangerlussuaq, Maniitsoq and Sisimiut and the following key attractions:

✔️ easiest access to the Greenland ice sheet
✔️ the famous Arctic Circle trail and many other impressive hikes
✔️ dogsledding

under the northern lights
✔️ the best wildlife spotting in Greenland including musk oxen, reindeer and whales
✔️ fly-fishing in pristine arctic rivers
✔️ world-renowned heliskiing and ski touring

It is also home to the following international events:
✔️ the Arctic Circle Race - the toughest ski race in the world
✔️ the Polar Circle Marathon - which partially takes place on the ice sheet
✔️ Arctic Sounds - one of Greenland’s biggest music festivals

We have the largest backcountry in all of Greenland - plenty of space for you to get away from it all and learn a little about Greenlandic culture and our way of life from locals. We are happy to help you with any questions at all, so feel free to message us. We hope to see you here soon!

Vi ønsker at informere jer om nogle kommende ændringer her på vores Facebook-side. Vi har i dag besluttet at sætte vores opslagsaktiviteter på pause.

Hvad betyder det?
Dette betyder, at der ikke længere vil blive opdateret med nye opslag på vores side. Vi vil dog stadig være her og vil fortsætte med at være tilgængelige for jer gennem Messenger. Så hvis I har spørgsmål, ønsker at dele oplevelser eller bare ønsker at sige hej, er I mere end velkomne til at sende os en besked.

Hvordan kan I nå os?

Send os en besked via Messenger, og vi vil bestræbe os på at svare så hurtigt som muligt.
