I’m now in Brighton celebrating Brighton Pride… always a joy. Missing Sol here this year but he is continuing the hard work at Bees Mouth Gambia and I very much forward to joining him in October and welcoming our lovely guests together.

We took a trip upriver with some guests and saw chimpanzees, red monkeys and hippopotamuses We also visited the famous Wasu stone circles and the town of Janjanbureh where we visited the famous freedom tree. A really lovely trip which we hope to share with many more guests in future.

We have been busy .. entertaining delightful guests but also upgrading our tipis. Bigger and better.. now on decking. Several guests have already enjoyed them.

I wondered if I could walk from Sanyang to Tanje fishing villlage along the beach. If you time it right so that the tide is out, you can, I am happy to have discovered. It’s around 20km of mostly deserted beach. Nature at its best... glorious.

ROYAL AIR MAROC TO RESUME FLIGHTS TO THE GAMBIA

Royal Air Maroc will be resuming flights to The Gambia effective 14th December up to the 10th of January 2021, they will operate a flight to Banjul every day. For travelers in the United Kingdom, there will be connecting flights to Casablanca from both Heathrow and Gatwick airports. The airline wants to make the most of the Christmas and New Year Season. They will announce their summer programme after 10th January.

Exciting news for our friends in Brighton and Hove. King’s flavour has asked us to do a Vegan pop -up there, to complement his delicious African meat-based food. We will be featuring Artisan pitta bread by Mamoosh stuffed with home-made Chakalaka, Akara and African falafels ... all freshly prepared... with fresh salad garnish. We are confident you will love it. Watch this space...
