Gambia First is a Responsible Tourism organisation that unravels the real Gambia to visitors who are conscious of the impacts of their visits to this small but interesting West African nation. We realised that today’s experienced travellers are more sensitive to the impacts of their holiday at destinations. For such people, we owe the Gambia and the world a responsibility to enhance their visions.
For the many who one way or the other adversely affects the local culture, society, environment and economy either consciously or unconsciously, we feel indebted to help them realise this to become Responsible travellers who have so much concern about the places they visit. We are aware of the challenges this calls for but without doubt we are certain of making a positive contribution to Responsible Tourism in the Gambia, thus together with our potential visitors, we can positively contribute to sustainable development from the Gambia and extend the exemplary practice to Africa and the rest of the world. The future of the world lies in our activities within the environments we rely on for survival.
