Dear friends.
You will have seen that we haven't posted anything for a long while.
Many of you may not know that we moved back to the UK earlier in the year when Kevin was diagnosed with cancer. His treatment is going very well.
We are looking to sell the apartments, if you know of anyone who might be interested please contact us.

Woke up to a couple of inches of snow this morning. A first for us in 18 years of being here.

An amazing pre Christmas meal at Piatto Kitchen and Bar last Thursday. Once again we would highly recommend this atmospheric addition to Afandou's restaurants. Wishing Minas and his staff a successful winter.

Our last guests left this week. A wonderful German/Brazilian family and a great couple from Poland. Gave a colourful look to our flags. We now look forward to next season.😎⛱🍺🍷🍹

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Afandou's newest restaurant Piatto Kitchen and Bar, a great addition to the village. Piatto is an upmarket meze restaurant that gives traditional recipes a slight twist. The restaurant opened in May and one of it's owners Minas will be well known to some of our guests as he used to run a cafe/bar in the square before emigrating to Australia. He is back and along with the rest of the staff are providing great food and friendly service at good prices. We highly recommend that you give it a try, Afandou's bars and restaurants particularly need your support this year.

After a late opening our first guests arrived yesterday. We are pleased to welcome them back. Friday our first UK guests arrive and we are looking forward to seeing some of our returning guests who had to cancel last year as well as new visitors to Afandou.⛱⛱⛱⛱⛱⛱⛱

This week we have been out and about and thought we might remind you of how delicious the food is with a picture of Theo's famous Prawns in Ouzo sauce at Ουζερι Ο "θιωρης". Then a picture of the beautiful sunset taken in Rhodes town.

To all our guests and friends, we are back in Afandou after having to spend time in the UK. We are looking forward to seeing you as the season progresses and those that don't make it over this year, we will hopefully see you next year. Kalo Pascha, Happy Greek Orthodox Easter to everyone. Lamb is on the spit here in Southampton UK. Sadly only the two of us. Today would have been Sally's brothers birthday, we had planned to invite friends and neighbours in Southampton to join us, but it wasn't to be.
