Explore the seaside of Athens [short version]

Piraeus was the port of ancient Athens, and now a vibrant seaside area, just a 15 minutes metro ride away from the center of Athens. In this tour we will explore beautiful Mikrolimano, a quaint little bay that used to shelter ships in antiquity, and now it’s popular with locals for seaside strolls and traditional Greek mezedes accompanied by ouzo enjoyed at patios next to the sea. We will finish our tour in Kastella, one of the oldest and most romantic neighborhoods of Piraeus, just above the bay.

Two of the three ancient ports of Piraeus in one amazing walking tour, combining a taste of modern Greek cuisine with valuable historic information and a picturesque walking route next to the sea. We will start our tour in lively Mikrolimano, where we will try traditional Greek mezedes and ouzo, and then we will walk a distance of 1.5 km towards the bay of Zea, or Pasalimani as locals call it, with its vibrant café scene and echoes of a glorious past.
