Our Story

Clio Muse is named after the ancient Greek Muse of history, Clio. Inspired by her, we share award-winning self-guided audio tours by top destination experts via our tour-guide app for Android and iOS.

In Clio Muse app, travellers can find multiple digital themed tours inspired by the ancient and contemporary aspects of the destinations we serve. Themes can range from archaeology and oral history to gastronomy, architecture, and mythology. Our content is based on original material. All tours are created by hand-picked accredited tour-guides or professionals in the Culture & Tourism sector. Our stories are written in a quirky and imaginative style while remaining true to our signature educational and engaging approach.

From a handful of tours about Athens only a few years ago, we now offer tours across Greece (e.g. Crete, the Peloponnese, the Cyclades, the Ionian Islands, central and northern Greece) and in selected European destinations. Our tours are available 24/7, offered in 15 languages and include offline content and interactive maps.

In this way travellers are fully independent and may tailor their tour experience according to their interests and schedule (skip stories, pause to take photos, listen to stories on their flight home).
