e‐Travel joins forces with other supporting organizations in order to help women in Greece get in touch with their geek side!
The 1st Athens Rails Girls event is finally here, for the first time ever in Greece! The FREE 2 day workshop is targeted at women interested in programming and focuses on the magical world of Ruby on Rails. Ruby is a popular programming language that is used all over the world by large multinational companies such as Amazon, NASA, Cisco, IBM, GitHub, Oracle, Siemens and Engine Yard.
Rails girls is an international community for women in technology that enables them to create & build their ideas. The aim of the workshop is to engage women who have little or virtually no experience with programming and give them the chance to learn.
It will be held in Athens at "The Cube" working space on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd of April. If you are interested in participating, please feel free to sign up by March 28th. The only thing you need in order to attend is your own laptop and your curiosity!
