This month is dedicated to LGBTQ+ people. We promised to help them until people start loving each other like dogs do. For this reason, today we present to you .

According to the Postsecondary National Policy Institute, while the LGBTQ+ student population in colleges and universities is growing steadily, many gay, le***an, q***r, trans, intersex and gender non-conforming college students still face forms of discrimination and bullying in school.

The Point Foundation, one of the only LGBTQ+ nonprofits that offers college scholarships to LGBTQ+ high school seniors, aims to make campuses more welcoming and accessible for every student. The Point Foundation’s college scholarship fund helps incoming LGBTQ+ students who demonstrate financial need, academic achievement and a history of active community leadership and service to pay for their education.

Kythera is situated far from the rest of the Ionian islands, but there are several ways to follow in order to reach this destination with your dog.

Let's explore some of the ways to reach the island:

🚢 You can reach Kythera from the port of Neapolis on the southern coast of Peloponnese. Also, ferries to Kythera depart 3 times a week from Gythio in Peloponnese and Kissamos in Crete, both are available once per week only during summer.
From Athens, there are only a few direct routes from the port of Piraeus to Kythera, which are carried out only during summer and only once per week.

✈️ Kithera Island National Airport "Alexandros Aristotelous Onassis" receives domestic flights from Athens all year round and the trip lasts about 1 hour. During summer, some extra flights are carried out between Kythera and some Ionian islands, like Zakynthos, Kefalonia and Corfu. Domestic flights are easy, but make sure to bear your pet's health booklet, and book in prior.

As a general tip, always plan ahead and inform about your favourite four-legged travel companion, to ensure the best possible treatment.

There are lots of little things we can do to make a big difference, like remembering to recycle your garbage or turning off the lights when you leave the room.

At Woof Together, we believe that small steps can lead to big changes. That's why we strive to use recycled and recyclable materials in our packaging, while researching new ways to harness the power of nature itself.

In the past year, we reduced about 80% of our non-sustainable dog bedding materials with natural products, such as natural caoutchouc sheets, we redesigned our dog waste bags with biodegradable materials and recyclable packaging, we replaced plastic dog toys with ones made from rope, and we researched for non-toxic cleaning products and reusable cleaning tools that don't need energy.

We love being a part of the change. Because we care for you, your pet, the planet.

We've seen some great beaches in the last few weeks! 🌊

Greece is famous for its dreamy beaches, but you might be surprised to learn that dogs are welcome at many of them. Greece has a long-standing tradition of treating all animals (and people, for that matter) like family and this includes the pets we bring with us.

If you want to spend the day on the beach with your dog, here are some safety tips that you should keep in mind:

🦮 Pets are allowed at unorganized beaches (sunbeds-free), but always on a leash!

🏊‍♀️ Pets are not allowed to enter the sea when there are other swimmers present, so remote beaches are the best choice.

🩱 When it comes to private beaches, like organized beach bars, it is within the jurisdiction of the business operating the private beach, whether it allows pets or not - this only applies to the beach bar's equipment of course, like its sunbeds and umbrellas, not the actual beach!

📄 You must bear the pet's health booklet with you, which proves that the dog is vaccinated and microchipped.
