✨ Wheelchair Access at the Parthenon – Yes, It’s Possible!

Just visited the Parthenon in Athens and wanted to share my experience as a wheelchair user – because YES, it’s totally doable and 100% worth it. 🙌

First things first: there’s an elevator! Not everyone knows this, but there’s a wheelchair-accessible elevator on the north side of the Acropolis hill that takes you up to the top, right near the Parthenon. It’s a game-changer.

Once you're up there, the ground is a mix of marble paths and rougher terrain, so it’s not the smoothest ride—but with a little patience (and maybe a buddy to help over bumps), you can get around and soak in the views. And let me tell you: the view of Athens from up there is breathtaking. 😍
