The stone chapel of Saint Arsenios has a long history that dates back to before 1600. It was constructed using local stone. The place's natural beauty served as inspiration for the well-known British writer, Lawrence Durrell, (Lawrence and Nancy’s favorite bathing spot).
The stone chapel can be reached by walking over the rocks, seamlessly blending with its surroundings. Alternatively, you can also access it by taking a path from the charming village of Kalami, a short distance away. Starting from the acclaimed "White House," this route offers a picturesque walk and could be an excellent choice for a summer hike. However, if you prefer a quicker and cooler means of transportation, you can reach the chapel by boat.
Visiting the chapel provides a splendid opportunity for swimming. Additionally, you'll come across a small cave naturally formed within the rocks.

At a height of 270 meters, the Kaiser's stone throne stands in Pelekas, Corfu. It was the favorite spot of the German emperor William II, also known as the Kaiser. He would climb to the top of the hill to admire the panoramic view of the island and the beautiful sunset. The observatory was built around 1907, after the Kaiser bought the Achilleio palace. He had a strong affection for Corfu and even assisted in archaeological excavations. Other structures with the Kaiser's name exist on the island, including a bridge. The observatory in Pelekas is thought to be his last project on Corfu. It is an iron platform carved into the rock, accessible by small stone steps.
Tourists visit the Kaiser's throne to enjoy the magnificent view that stretches across the entire island of Phaeacians, but also to make vows of eternal love under the clear blue sky.

Angelokastro, dating back to the 7th century, is one of the oldest Byzantine castles in Greece. It was one of three castles that existed before Corfu was conquered by the Venetians in 1386. The other two castles were Kassiopi in the northwest and Gardiki in the south. Angelokastro served as a strong defensive fortification for the west coast. To reach the castle, you can take the road through the village of Krini. When you arrive at the fortified castle, you'll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire island from its summit.
