We arrived on Corfu yesterday afternoon after a very pleasant drive through Holland, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, North Macedonia and Greece. The weather was great and the roads fantastic. It is a nice drive but on the highway you don't see a lot. It was about 2800 km.
As said before beware where you stop for petrol or Diesel, In Germany and Austria it was extremely expensive. The best price was in North Macedonia for Diesel. Around 1.40 per liter. We paid all together for 4 nights hotel-rooms (2 rooms) around euro 100 per night. So price wise it was very good. You do need a long holiday to travel like this though. We made a detour to Meteora and stopped at the lake in Ioannina for coffee.

Having breakfast in Geiselwind in Germany. We did 620 km yesterday. Perfect as we left just after one. The journey was very pleasant and roads fantastic. A little busy around Frankfurt.

Just passed the German border at Venlo. First 198 km done at around 95 km per hour. Sunny weather easy traveling.

Getting ready to go from Holland to Greece by car. Taking my dad with me, we will drive over Vienna and Belgrade. In Greece we will stop for a day at the Meteora monasteries. Will keep you updated how the travel is.
