💯"Evia Trail" Project Loading💯

👍🌲🦯Day #1 of our test walk for the new 7 Day / 120Km walk from Eretria Port to Kymi.

🌲🦯Eretria to Theologos 🌲🦯

Back in 2019 we came up with the idea of a long distance walk from Eretria to Kymi....after rigorous research and endless days of being lost in the bushes, followed by excruciatingly hard trail maintenance we are happy to announce a new tour which will be exclusively offered by Evia Adventure Tours as a :
☑Guided tour for 2025 but also a
☑Self Guided Tour from 2026 onwards

Starting from Eretria port, we left the town behind, strolling along olive groves and shepherds huts, we arrived to the ever welcoming monastery of St. George Arma for a brief stop for a drink and snack. This stop is approximately half way toward the end of the hike. Luckily there is also a local tavern on the spot and our planned Guided departures are set to include a stop for a well deserved beer.

With some more kilometres to go Kamari climbing range greeted us with these magnificent rock formation gazing upon us. From there on the route was mostly flat and downhill all the way till we reach Theologos village our final destination for the day. Knackered as hell....we never remembered to document any evidence of the meal served...but you need to know that the sausages, and kebabs we had were out of this world.

With a total length of 20 km, of which 8km tarmac, 11km dirt roads and aprox 1km of trail, the first day is considered the 2nd lengthiest hike of this Long Distance Hike.

We are proud to announce that the tour is open for bookings, for those brave hikers who would wish to try their luck on this marvelous 7 day island crossing.

This year instead of Holiday and New Years wishes, we decided to share our greetings presenting you with our brand new project called "Evia Trail". 3 months now we have done nothing else but grind and force our way towards the development of this massive project.

On the following page you will get all the info about trail clearing days in Evia, but also all the updates about the new long distance hike in Evia called "Evia Trail".

This is a 120km Thru Hike which will start from the port of Eretria crossing the whole middle section of central Evia and the magnificent mountain villages, finally arriving to Kymi port..

This is a concept which was first born in 2019....and is still under continuous development. For 2025 this hike will be offered as a Guided Tour, but for 2026 the full length of the walk will be able to be completed a Self Guided tour also....

1st hike of the year...
It is actually the earliest hike we have ever had during our operations.
3 ladies from Skyros made an express visit to Steni for our Xerovouni hike, this time in snow...As snow was melting this week..we saw small streams where we don't normally do....the sound of the water was just awesome...
After the walk the ladies decided we should walk down S2 path....which was also wonderful..
A beer stop at the end was just grand....

Today was a cycling day...
We went on our best selling cycling tour for groups of all abilities...even for families..
Seaside cycling from Chalkida to Alykes beach and then back to Karababa castle and the medieval museum..
A cold drink and snack at the end of the day was also enjoyed at the bar below the castle

Today we had the chance to merge two different hiking groups who were staying at the same hotel and had booked the same tour on the same day.. hiking to Tzivani winery it was on a cool & breezy day..max temperature today was 25 degrees as opposed to 32 yesterday...just GRAND....

We had a great time touring around the North part of Evia island, from Club Med to Lichada and Kavos village on this early afternoon ride. Half of the ride was directly on the seaside which absolutely delighted our German guests.

Hiking Dimosaris Gorge on a cool day today. Recent rain had stirred the water both in the river and the sea leaving us somewhat disappointed as so many years we are spoilt with crystal clear water.... hopefully next hike will be great... nevertheless the group exceeded our expectations finishing the gorge hike in under 4 hours....
