The Alosanthos is located in the oldest section of the Chora, in the Kastro’s historic neighborhood. This is a strictly residential area where except for houses there are no bars, restaurants or any other establishments. Therefore, respecting quiet hours is a condition for staying in the Alosanthos. Another important aspect to be considered is that given the distinctive features of Cycladic architecture where properties, windows and patios tend to embrace each other, maintaining the privacy and the overall calm of the neighbourhood is essential.

The overall size of the house is 73 m2.
Ground floor: living room, bedroom (double bunk bed, each bed of 0.90x2.00 size), kitchen, bathroom, veranda.
First floor: bedroom (one double bed of 1.60x1.90 size), wc
Suitable for four guests. Ideal for a family or a couple

Alosanthos private residence inside the Folegandros Kastro! The Alosanthos is located in the oldest section of the Chora, in the Kastro’s historic neighborhood. With breathtaking views the private residence Alosanthos is at the heart of the Kastro, that is, the medieval settlement of the Chora. It enjoys the privilege of being at the quiet Kastro neighbourhood. Meanwhile the picturesque centre of the Chora providing restaurants, bars, mini marts and small retail shops is at a stone’s throw.

The 13th century AD sees the construction of the Folegandros Kastro (lit. castle). It was a defence-purpose fortified settlement aiming to protect inhabitants from violent pirate raids. The house has been owned by our family for more than 150 years. http://alosanthos.gr/en/

Κατοικία Αλόσανθος στο μεσαιωνικό Κάστρο! Η ιδιωτική κατοικία Αλόσανθος βρίσκεται στο παλαιότερο τμήμα της Χώρας, στην ιστορική γειτονιά του Κάστρου αλλά και στην πιο απόκρημνη άκρη του. Απολαμβάνει το προνόμιο της ήσυχης γειτονιάς του Κάστρου, ενώ το γραφικό κέντρο της Χώρας βρίσκεται σε απόσταση αναπνοής.

Τον 13ο αιώνα μ.Χ. χτίζεται το Κάστρο της Φολεγάνδρου, ένας οχυρωμένος αμυντικός οικισμός που είχε σκοπό να προστατέψει τους κατοίκους από τις βίαιες επιδρομές των πειρατών. Στην οικογένειά μας το σπίτι ανήκει πάνω από ενάμιση αιώνα. http://www.alosanthos.gr
