Celebrating Success Together!
On November 13th, for the second consecutive year, colleagues from all the companies within the K. Badouvas - Group of Companies gathered to celebrate the close of yet another outstanding season. The event was a perfect blend of reflection, celebration, and excitement for the future, as we looked back on the achievements of the past year and eagerly anticipated what lies ahead.

Our Managing Director, Kostas Markakis, shared insights on the group’s latest investments, updates, and upcoming challenges, while highlighting the core values, vision, and mission that drive us forward. The evening also honored the exceptional colleagues who went above and beyond, with each company recognizing their “Best Employee” and “Best Branch Office.” These awards were warmly presented by Despina K. Badouva, our Business Development Director. During the raffle, a lucky colleague from Paralos Lifestyle Beach won a Christmas trip for two to Thessaloniki, adding a festive touch to their holiday season. To make the night even more special, we took a nostalgic journey with live retro music that brought back the charm of the good old days. It was a time to unwind, reconnect, and catch up with colleagues across the different companies – a reminder of the strong bonds that unite us all. We had an absolute blast and are already looking forward to another season filled with challenges, achievements, and shared successes.

Faith, Hope, Strength: United Against Breast Cancer
As we step into November, we reflect with pride and gratitude on the journey we shared this October in support of breast cancer awareness. Throughout the month, colleagues from across all companies within the K. Badouvas - Group of Companies came together with heartfelt dedication, united not only to raise awareness, honor survivors, and support those affected by this life-changing disease but also to emphasize the critical importance of prevention. Prevention is a powerful tool in the fight against cancer—it has the potential to save lives. As a Group of Companies, we are committed to raising awareness for all types of cancer, stressing the importance of early detection and healthy lifestyle choices.
Here’s a look back on our Journey of Awareness and Support:
🌸 Fundraising for a Good Cause: With a strong community spirit, we launched a fundraising initiative, donating all proceeds to a local institution devoted to supporting cancer patients.
🌸 Pink Friday at Work: Our teams dressed in pink to show solidarity, capturing this commitment in group photos that embody our unity.
🌸 Illuminating the Olive Tree: Each evening , our old olive tree in the center of our premises glowed pink, symbolizing resilience and hope for all to see.
🌸 Parking Lot Decorations: Pink ribbons adorned the trees around our parking lot, creating a continuous reminder of awareness for everyone who visited.
🌸 Sunday Morning Walk: In a heartwarming display of togetherness, colleagues, families, friends, and even our four-legged companions joined us for a wonderful morning walk along the Venetian walls of Heraklion.
Together, we can make a difference. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported our initiatives. October may be over, but our commitment to spreading awareness, promoting prevention, and supporting those affected by cancer remains steadfast.

On Saturday, August 24th, colleagues from Cretan Holidays and Autocandia gathered before dawn to handpick grapes from our newly acquired plot of land near the new airport in Kastelli.
In Greece, the grape harvest is a revered practice that goes beyond winemaking; it’s about preserving a vital piece of our cultural heritage that goes back thousands of years. True to tradition, no grape harvest is complete without a well-deserved break. Our team enjoyed a healthy snack featuring authentic Cretan delicacies, creating a moment of joy and connection amidst the hard work. The journey will continue in October with the tsikoudia distillation process. As is customary, this event will be celebrated with food, live music, and the warmth of family and friends, further strengthening our bonds.

Mrs. Badouva Despina, Member of the Board, participated as a panelist at the 3rd International Forum on Women's Entrepreneurship in Heraklion-Crete on July 13 at the Chamber of Commerce & Industry under the auspices of the Region of Crete, hosted by the The Cretan Women in Business Association (Αναπτυξιακός Σύλλογος Γυναικών Επιχειρηματιών Κρήτης). She shared invaluable insights on the impact of women in local economies, particularly in tourism and agriculture, discussing both opportunities and challenges faced today.
Mrs. Badouva also highlighted our Group’s initiatives to embrace and support women in leadership roles. We’re proud that the majority of our department supervisors are women, breaking stereotypes, promoting diversity and ensuring gender equality across all our business entities.

Το συγκρότημα SCHUHPLATTERN MÖTZ, φιλοξενούμενο από την Paralos Lifestyle Beach του ομίλου της K. Badouvas - Group of Companies, συμπράττει με το συγκρότημα του Vasilis Pilalis σε δυο εξαιρετικές παραστάσεις στο Ηράκλειο, δίνοντας για πρώτη φορά την ευκαιρία στο κοινό να θαυμάσει τους περίφημους χορούς από το Τυρόλο της Αυστρίας και τις ομοιότητές τους με τους κρητικούς χορούς.

Η ίδια παράσταση θα φιλοξενηθεί και στο καθιερωμένο Φεστιβάλ Λαϊκών Χορών στο MÖTZ της Αυστρίας στις 15 Σεπτεμβρίου 2024, μεταφέροντας χορευτικά την Κρήτη στην καρδιά της Ευρώπης.

Η ιδέα για την χορευτική αυτή σύμπραξη γεννήθηκε σε μία συνάντηση της τέως Προξένου της Αυστρίας στην Κρήτη, κας Ροσβίτας Μπαντουβά με την αυστριακή συμμαθήτριά της κα Anni Jaglitsch, όπου διαπιστώθηκαν οι ομοιότητες στα χορευτικά βήματα των δύο περιοχών και αποφάσισαν να οργανώσουν μια χορευτική εκδήλωση με κρητικά και τυρολέζικα χορευτικά συγκροτήματα.

Η ιδέα βρήκε αμέσως ανταπόκριση από την Αντιπεριφεριάρχη Πολιτισμού και Ισότητας κα. Georgia Milaki και από την Αντιδήμαρχο Πολιτισμού Ηρακλείου κα. Rena Papadaki.
