During both, my period of apprenticeship and my present day professional activity I use traditional handcrafting techniques involving earth, fire and my hands. TO ΡΟΔΙ – Hellenic Handcrafted Ceramic Pomegranates represents my determination and endeavour to advance my techniques by focussing exclusively on crafting bespoke ceramic pomegranates each one being a unique creation. Each pomegranate expresses my passion for exclusivity and I am thrilled and feel proud at the same time pondering its unique worldwide travel adventures from hand to hand, place to place and country to country. I feel fortunate and blessed by being involved in such a soul fulfilling craft which, somehow, connects me with people that, throughout history, have used clay in order to express their artistic creativity. It is form of artistic expression that never ceases to explore new frontiers. It is an art-form that has provided an ideal means to channel my inner artistic voice.

Throughout mankind’s history pomegranate has been considered, for many cultures, as being a symbol representing Love, Wisdom, Healthiness, Prosperity, Regeneration, Rejuvenation and Eternal Life. My personal involvement and, eventually, close creative relationship with clay crafting dates back to my formative years. TO ΡΟΔΙ Χειροποίητα κεραμικά Ρόδια Το ρόδι είναι ένα από τα πιο ιδιαίτερα και όμορφα δημιουργήματα της φύσης. Σε όλη την ιστορία της ανθρωπότητας υπήρξε για πολλούς λαούς σύμβολο της αγάπης, της σοφίας, της υγείας, της ευημερίας, της αναγέννησης και της αιώνιας ζωής. Η σχέση μου με τον πηλό ξεκίνησε πριν από χρόνια. Το Ρόδι ήλθε να αντιπροσωπεύσει την προσπάθειά μου και την απόφασή μου να εξελίξω την τεχνική μου, κατασκευάζοντας μόνο κεραμικά ρόδια, από τα οποία το κάθε ένα αποτελεί μοναδικό και ιδιαίτερο γλυπτό. Στο κάθε ρόδι που δημιουργώ αισθάνομαι το πάθος της μοναδικότητας και με συναρπάζει το ταξίδι που κάνει στον κόσμο, από χέρι σε χέρι. Πρόκειται πραγματικά για μια μεγαλειώδη εμπειρία στη ζωή μου και νιώθω ότι με συνδέει με όλους εκείνους που στη διάρκεια της ιστορίας έχουν χρησιμοποιήσει τον πηλό για να βελτιώσουν και να ενισχύσουν τη ζωή τους. Είναι μια καλλιτεχνική έκφραση που δεν σταματά να αναζητεί. Είναι μια μορφή τέχνης, στην οποία έχω βρει την καλλιτεχνική μου φωνή!
