EPIRUS – ZALONGO DANCE
This monument, 3 huge marble women holding hands with 3 children is a symbol of self-sacrifice dating back to December 18, 1803 when 60 women from Souli and their children committed su***de to avoid the captivation of the Ottoman Empire. It conveys to the whole world a universal message of sacrifice and freedom, an act of bravery and strength most of us cannot comprehend. The women were trapped and decided to turn towards the cliff's edge and jump down to their death with their infants and children rather than to submit to the Ottoman troops chasing them.

And the women of Souli do not live
without freedom”

EPIRUS – PRAMANTA VILLAGE
The village is built at an altitude of 840m, at the foot of Strogoula mountain, perhaps the most imposing peak of Tzoumerka mountainous range. It is believed to have developed in the middle of the 15th century and the inhabitants were craftsmen and farming families
The central square is dominated by a maple tree and next to it the central church of “Agia Paraskevi”. The historic monastery of “Agia Paraskevi”, a traditional watermill, the magnificent cave "Anemotrypa", the mountain refuge with impressive views at 1350 meters, are some of the things worth visiting.

EPIRUS – THE SILVER SMITHING MUSEUM
The Silversmithing Museum is located in the castle of Ioannina, and its objective is to preserve the knowledge of Epirote silversmithing and to disseminate information about its technology to the wider public. Also, to tie in this technology to the social context of the period during which it was developed and flourished.
It is a thematic museum, as it concerns the technology of silversmithing during the pre-industrial period, while simultaneously being a regional museum, as it focuses principally on the history of silversmithing in the region of Epirus.

EPIRUS – NIKOPOLIS
Nikopolis, also known as the 'city of victory', which served as the capital of the Roman province of Epirus. The city was founded in 29 BC by Gaius Julius Caesar Octavian to commemorate his victory over Marc Antony and Cleopatra at the nearby naval Battle of Actium in 31 BC. Soon after its foundation, Nikopolis was declared the capital of the broader Epirus region
Places of interest nearby: Roman nymphaeum, Octavian's campsite memorial at Actium, the Roman Odeum, the main gates, ancient mosaics of a Roman villa, the Pre-Christian walls, and many more.

EPIRUS – ZAGORI – GYFTOKAMPOS
Sarakatsaniki Stani (shepherd’s settlement) is located in Gyftokambos, in a green area of fir and pine trees. The area has been granted to the Sarakatsanas Brotherhood of Epirus.
The Brotherhood has built within this area, a Museum Hall, seven huts - old houses of Sarakatsan breeders and other huts-dwellings and those of the breeders, all of which also function as a Museum space.
