OLIVE HARVEST EXPERIENCE!
We would like to thank Randy and his group from the Brigham Young University, Department of Public Health (Utah, USA) for visiting us in Metochi Farmhouse and participating in the Olive Harvesting event organized by our office as an agrotourism excursion.
It was a very pleasant company as we picked olives together in the traditional way and without mechanical means! We discussed about the care of the organic olive trees and the works we carry out throughout the year!
Then we cooked together traditional recipes and finally we visited the olive oil mill to watch the oil production process. The highlight of the day was the tasting of the fresh olive oil!
We thank them from the bottom of our hearts!

Eleni and her mother are sweet and welcoming—they truly make you feel like a part of the family. We left the class feeling invigorated—and that’s to say nothing of the food which was fantastic and so fun to cook (we can’t wait to make these dishes for our family).
