🏡 In Kastoria's mansions, we find the decoration of the traditional folk art of the Region.

👷‍♂️Craftsmen and artists (painters and wood carvers) from West , worked during the 17th and 18th centuries in the same region, something that indicates that these same craftsmen worked for the decoration of the temples, from the place they were transferred to the mansions they were applied.

✅Παρουσίαση του νέου τουριστικού branding της Καστοριάς

➡️Η Αντιδημαρχία Τουρισμού του Δήμου Καστοριάς διοργανώνει την Πέμπτη 19 Ιανουαρίου 2023 και ώρα 17:00 στο ξενοδοχείο Calma Hotel & Spa, εκδήλωση παρουσίασης του νέου τουριστικού branding της Καστοριάς.

📌Η εκδήλωση υλοποιείται το πλαίσιο του επιχειρησιακού προγράμματος «Δυτική Μακεδονία, ειδικός στόχος 06.0.2.1: Ενίσχυση της προστασίας και ανάδειξης της φυσικής και πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς και σύνδεση με την τουριστική ανάπτυξη», που σε συνεργασία με την εταιρεία συμβούλων Wise Ram υλοποιήθηκε, με στόχο την ανάδειξη και διαμόρφωση του Δήμου ως σημαντικού τουριστικού προορισμού.

👉H παρουσίαση αφορά το τελικό αποτέλεσμα διαμόρφωσης της τουριστικής ταυτότητας, όπως αυτό προέκυψε από τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας που πραγματοποίησε ο Δήμος τους προηγούμενους μήνες, συμπεριλαμβανομένων των τοποθετήσεων των επαγγελματιών του τουρισμού και εκπροσώπων φορέων, που προέκυψαν από την εκδήλωση διαβούλευσης που προηγήθηκε.

🐉 Once upon a time there was a dragon guarding a treasure inside a cave. This Cave was located in and this specific legend was the reason why it was named the "Cave of the Dragon".

💎 (Of course, no dragon was ever found, but the cave on its own, is definitely a real gem! )

This one-of-a-kind natural treasure may be seen in Kastoria, approximately 20 meters from Lake Orestiada. It was only found in the 1940s, just as the lakefront route was being planned.

Visitors are greeted by beautiful stalactites and stalagmites throughout the 300-meter-long walking tour of the cave. There are 5 passages, 7 underground lakes, and 10 halls altogether in the cave.

🐲 Dragon's cave is among the most impressive ones in Europe.

April-October: 10.00-18.00 / November-March: 09.00-17.00

⛪️ "Panagia Koumbelidiki or Skoutariotissa" is a small church dated back to the 10th century, that has become the emblem of Kastoria. The small dimensions of the church and its high dome with a variety of masonry work make it an architectural gem of the city.
