The living room is spacious with a stone arch separating it from the fully equipped kitchen with all modern appliances,and a dining area. In the living room there is a satelitte tv, and a working fireplace. With outside whirlpool bath (not heated) for 5 people to sit in and a swimming pool 35sqm and a childrens pool.The swimming pool is infinity, which is designed to give the impression of merging with the horizon.Around the swimming pool area are sunbeds and umbrellas.There is also a barbecue with charcoal and a table for you to dine outside enjoying the spectacular views. Because of the privileged position of the swimming pools and the whirlpool bath there is sun all day long from sunrise to sunset. Furthermore there are a lot of sitting spots for you to admire different views. With spacious outdoor area for children to play. Another hiking trail is high up in the mountains at an altitude of 900m were the shepherds have their sheep and goats, with panoramic views. There are also lots of other hiking routes enabling you to discover the real Crete. Below our villa there are enchanting water springs in an area called Potistiri, meaning "watering can" There are trees called platania,prinus,oak and olive trees which are hundred of years old.A relaxing enviroment with stone built walls and four stone built water springs you will enjoy listening to the water falling. There also is a very old church of St Giorgis Methistis, a peaceful place surrounded by beautiful untamed nature. Alternatively , there is a soccer field professional size nearby for you to enjoy. Near the village's main square their is a playground for children to enjoy. If you want to participate in the local events you are more than welcome to join in and experience local events and traditions such as the representation of the traditional Cretan marriage with all the procedure, held every summer. The local festival of Saint George held in April a tradition hundred of years old, passed down from generation to generation. All the shepherds bring their sheep and goats to the village square and milk their herds and give the milk away to the people who are participating. You are welcome to join in with local wedding celebrations and experience the local Cretan dances and live Cretan music from traditional instruments such as the laouto and the lyra. The village dancers wear the traditional Cretan costumes and dance at all local marriages. Enjoy traditional songs called "risitika" sung by the local group wearing Cretan costumes. Participating in the celebration of different Saints name day there is a special ceremony held at the churches high up in the mountains as well as in the village .
