“We stayed in June 2018, as a family of 4, 2 parents and 2 adult 'children'. We were met by Thalia on arrival, and both she and Christos were helpfully on hand throughout the stay as queries or issues arose. Thalia cottage is a beautiful gem of a house, and is exactly as shown in the photos. The house is located among mature olive trees, on the shoulder of a hill overlooking the sea. The view is amazing, and we enjoyed watching the cruisers and yachts pass by in the distance. The pool is perfect for a quick cool-down, but the airconditioning in the house works well also. The house is very private, but not isolated as it is in a small cluster of other houses, but none overlook the cottage. The shared space is just the driveway. There are a number of ways to access the sea. There is a steep path with steps leading directly down to the rocky foreshore, which we would have used if the sea was calm, but we had unusually stormy weather and choppy seas during our stay. From the road, there is a footpath (lit at night, but a torch is useful- one was provided with the keys) which leads down to several great seafront restaurants, and a short distance onwards to the fabulous, sandy Agios Spiridon beach. Corfu is an island of cats- they are everywhere- at most restaurants and shops- this might be an issue for those with serious cat allergies. During our stay, Thalia cottage was frequented by a very affectionate tabby cat. Consider buying cat food with your groceries when staying at Thalia! Obviously, this is not something that the owners can do anything about- but mosquitos are omnipresent also, so bring or buy repellants.”
