Happy March 7th! 🇬🇷

The 7th of March is a day of celebration and remembrance for the islands of the Dodecanese, as it marks their official Integration with Greece after centuries of occupation.

The Dodecanese, in fact, was the last region to be absorbed into the nation’s body following challenges and sacrifices.

In 1948, Greece grew with the return of the Dodecanese to it; it grew taller with its expansion to Kastellorizo and Strongyli. The return to the homeland after centuries of occupation, without giving away the language, customs and traditions, shows the remarkable wisdom and inner strength of a people forged by the Aegean sea.
