Χρόνια Πολλά για τη γιορτή του Οσίου Παταπίου! 🙏

Σήμερα, 8 Δεκεμβρίου, η Εκκλησία μας τιμά τη μνήμη του Οσίου Παταπίου, του μεγάλου ασκητή που έζησε με πίστη, ταπείνωση και αφοσίωση στον Θεό. Στη Μονή του Οσίου Παταπίου στο Λουτράκι, όπου φυλάσσεται το άφθαρτο και θαυματουργό λείψανό του, πιστοί από όλη την Ελλάδα και τον κόσμο προσέρχονται να προσκυνήσουν και να ζητήσουν τη χάρη και την ευλογία του.

Ο Όσιος Πατάπιος, προστάτης της αγνότητας και της ελπίδας, αποτελεί πηγή έμπνευσης για όλους εμάς που αναζητούμε την πνευματική καθοδήγηση και ενίσχυση.

Οι Ισθμιακοί Αγώνες, ένα από τα σημαντικότερα αθλητικά και πολιτιστικά γεγονότα της αρχαίας Ελλάδας, αναβιώνουν Με σεβασμό στην ιστορία και την παράδοση, οι 1οι Ισθμιακοί Αγώνες 2024 επιστρέφουν για να αναδείξουν το αρχαίο πνεύμα του αθλητισμού και του πολιτισμού.

𝚶𝛊 𝚰𝚺𝚯𝚳𝚰𝚨𝚱𝚶𝚰 𝚨𝚪𝛀𝚴𝚬𝚺 𝛔𝛕𝛈𝛎 𝚨𝚸𝚾𝚨𝚰𝚨 𝚬𝚲𝚲𝚨𝚫𝚨

Οι Ισθμιακοί Αγώνες, μία από τις σπουδαιότερες αθλητικές διοργανώσεις της αρχαίας Ελλάδας, ήταν αφιερωμένοι στον θεό Ποσειδώνα και διεξάγονταν κάθε δύο χρόνια στην περιοχή του Ισθμού της Κορίνθου.
Οι αγώνες αυτοί δεν ήταν μόνο αθλητικοί, αλλά περιλάμβαναν επίσης μουσικούς και ποιητικούς διαγωνισμούς, προάγοντας την τέχνη και τον πολιτισμό της εποχής. Η σημασία τους στην αρχαιότητα ήταν τεράστια, καθώς συνένωναν τους Έλληνες σε περίοδο εκεχειρίας, συμβολίζοντας την ειρήνη και την ενότητα μεταξύ των πόλεων-κρατών.
Οι νικητές βραβεύονταν με ένα στεφάνι από πεύκα, ενώ η φήμη τους ξεπερνούσε τα σύνορα της Ελλάδας, προσελκύοντας θεατές και αθλητές από όλο τον γνωστό κόσμο. Οι Ισθμιακοί Αγώνες παραμένουν σύμβολο αθλητικής αρετής, πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς και παγκόσμιας συναδέλφωσης.

The Isthmian Games, one of the most important athletic festivals of ancient Greece, were dedicated to the god Poseidon and held every two years in the area of the Isthmus of Corinth. Their significance in antiquity was immense, as they united Greeks during a period of truce, symbolizing peace and harmony between city-states.

🇬🇧 World Lighthouse Day
🏛️ Sousaki Lighthouse, Agioi Theodoroi

First operational in 1894 as a monitored 5th-order lighthouse with a steady red light. The initial lighting equipment (a 350 mm catadioptric lens and an Argand oil lamp) was supplied by the French lighthouse company Barbbier. During World War II, the lighthouse remained unlit, like most lighthouses in the Greek Lighthouse Network. During the Greek Civil War, the lighting equipment was stolen, and the lighthouse keeper's residence was looted. In 1949, as part of the network's reconstruction, new lighting equipment (L-300 automatic gas torch head and a simple gas flash lamp) was installed, and the lighthouse was reactivated as an automatic acetylene torch, with the rooms sealed off. In 1980, the lighthouse was electrified and operated as a monitored lighthouse with a modern electric lighting mechanism. (Source: Lighthouse Service )

🏛️ Φάρος Σουσακίου Αγίων Θεοδώρων

Πρωτολειτούργησε το 1894 ως επιτηρούμενος Φάρος Ε΄ τάξεως με σταθερό ερυθρό φως. Τα πρώτα φωτιστικά μηχανήματα (καταδιοπρικό οπτικό 350 mm και λυχνία πετρελαίου τύπου Argand) προέρχονταν από την Γαλλική εταιρία φάρων Barbbier. Κατά τη διάρκεια του 2ου Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου ο φάρος παρέμεινε σβηστός όπως οι περισσότεροι Φάροι του Ελληνικού Φαρικού Δικτύου, ενώ στη διάρκεια του εμφυλίου εκλάπησαν τα φωτιστικά μηχανήματα και λεηλατήθηκε η οικία των φαροφυλάκων. Το 1949, στα πλαίσια ανασυγκρότησης του Φαρικού Δικτύου, τοποθετήθηκαν νέα φωτιστικά μηχανήματα (κεφαλή αυτόματου πυρσού αερίου L-300 και εκλαμπτήρας αερίου απλού χαρακτηριστικού) και επαναλειτούργησε ως αυτόματος πυρσός ασετιλίνης, ενώ τα δωμάτια σφραγίστηκαν με τοίχο.
