The traditional settlement of Foinikia in Oia is the best hidden secret in Santorini and possibly in the whole Aegean sea. The settlement is untouched by time and modern civilization. When we first visited the place we immediately fell in love with it. It is quite, original, picturesque, traditional and only a ten minutes walk to Oia and the breathtaking caldera. Our first and second Foinikia pro

jects were huge success. Both were published in architectural magazines and we received very positive comments from fellow architects and engineers as well as from local people and international buyers. There were both sold to appreciative people who loved both the settlement and our meticulous work. Our third and without a doubt our best yet development in Santorini will be Manos' House. This is our new project, we are very happy of the outcome and looking forward to the construction phase which will begin soon after the holidays. The name Manos' House is because of the previous owner who's name is Manos and we became used in calling it that. The House as we bought it, it consisted of the old caved to the rock part, the canava, and it's extension of a longitudinal structure, traditionally constructed with local volcano stones and porcelain. It was built in the late nineteen century. The House, after our intervention, will be a blend between the old parts, completely restructured off course and the new addition. The living and entertaining area will have an L shape and will consist of a seating area with a fire place and a beautiful view to the Agean sea, a dinning area and an open style Kitchen. Because of it's shape all the parts of the living area will have views and direct access to the front patio and the swimming pool. A powder room and a wardrobe will also lie in this area, close to the main entrance. An enclosed patio will serve as a corridor to the private parts of the house, the family quarters. The enclosed patio will be much more than a corridor as it is spacious enough for the family to rest and enjoy complete privacy and tranquility, have breakfast there or any other meal, or just hang there and listen to music. From the enclosed patio one has access to the master bedroom witch is the renovated canava, featuring a whirlpool bath, a modern type open bathroom and ample closet space and a fire place. There is also access to two children's' bedrooms shearing a bathroom, which originally was the kitchen of the old dwelling and through a staircase to the fourth bedroom on the upper floor on top of the kitchen, that will have the most amazing view of the hole house to the sea and the settlement of Foinikia. It will of course have it's own bathroom as well and a beautiful terrace part of it covered with a pergola. At the street level, below the living room there will be a spacious and com completely separate, guest apartment with a full bath room and a kitchenette. There will also be a storage space of 15 m2 at the street level, under the swimming pool. The house will have high quality insulation, state of the art electric and plumbing installations, air conditioning, ceiling fans, convector heating, two fireplaces one in the living room and one in the master bedroom, wi-fi internet, and satellite TV. A balance between the old and the new will be kept in mind when the appliances and furnishings will be chosen. The house can be used as a summer house or as a permanent residence. Due to the high demand for quality dwellings for the booming Santorini tourism industry, it can also generate a considerable income if rented. The total area of the house is 170 m2, without the patios and it is for sale at 560.000 euros
The house will be delivered completely furnished and ready for occupancy by the end of Aprill 2014. We have similar projects under construction in Myconos, Kithira and Rhodes. The beautiful house in the traditional settlement of Pyrgos with the magnificent view of the caldera, the town of Fira and the hole island, was bought today. The architectural study of it's reconstruction and addition of new space, has been appointed to A2 Architects, Sotiris Anifantis and Sofia Zioga.

The house was the dwelling of a wealthy Pyrgos merchant and his family. It was built in the late 19th century and was abandoned in the early nineteen sixties. As can be seen from the pictures, the house, has elements of classical architecture, very common in the settlement of Pyrgos. The most magnificent of its features is the ceiling of the living room, made as groin volt.

In its final form, the house will consist of a living room, a separate traditional kitchen, a study room and a powder room at the the ground level. A master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and ample closet space along with a second bedroom with its own bathroom will be found in the first floor. The terrace of the first floor will feature a swimming pool with an unobstructed view of the caldera and the island of Santorini. A third bedroom with its own bathroom will lie at the attic. All bedrooms will have beautiful views of the island. An enclosed, completely private patio is found when entering the house from the medieval narrow street. Both the living room and the kitchen have views and access to the patio. Furthermore a beautiful stone staircase leads from the patio to the fist floor terrace connecting both outer spaces.

The house in its completed form will be one of a kind in one of the most beautiful traditional settlements of Santorini. The quality of the design and of the reconstruction, the persistency to the smallest detail will be our priority, as always, as it happens to all our projects.

As the architect´s work will progress, sketches and drawings will be posted.

This is our third and without a doubt our best development in Santorini. We are very pleased with the architectural work and we are looking forward to the beginning of the construction phase, in the beginning of February 2016. We named it ''Manos' '' house after the previous owner, dear friend and fellow engineer, who was delighted to sell it to us out of appreciation of our work.

The House as we bought it, consisted of the old caved to the rock part, the canava, and a longitudinal structure, traditionally constructed with local volcano stones and porcelain, connected to it. It was built in the late nineteen century and served, as all houses in the settlement of Foinikia as a wine press and a dwelling. The caved part housed the two wine presses, one for the white wine and a second for the red and the built part was the dwelling.

The House, after our intervention, will be a blend between the old and the new. The old parts, completely restructured with modern facilities, will blend with the new addition in a way that a unique new entity will be formed.

The living room will have an L shape and will consist of a seating area with a fire place, having a beautiful view of the Aegean sea, a dinning area and an open style Kitchen. Because of it's shape, all the spaces will have views and direct access to the front patio and the swimming pool. A powder room and a wardrobe will also lie in this area, close to the main entrance. An enclosed patio, will give the dining area a complete transparency and plenty of light and will serve as a corridor to the private parts of the house, the family quarters. The patio is spacious enough for the family to rest and enjoy complete privacy and tranquility, listen to music or gather for a meal. From the enclosed patio one has access to the master bedroom witch is the renovated canava, featuring a whirlpool bath, a modern type open bathroom, ample closet space and a fire place. There are two children's' bedrooms which shear a bathroom, unique in its form, since it was the kitchen of the old dwelling. A staircase (from the enclosed patio) leads to the fourth bedroom on the upper floor on top of the kitchen. This bedroom will have the most amazing view, to the sea and the settlement of Foinikia. It will have it's own bathroom as well and a beautiful terrace, part of it covered with a pergola.
At the street level, below the living room there will be a spacious and completely separate, guest apartment with a full bathroom and a kitchenette. There will also be a storage space of 15 m2 at the street level, under the swimming pool.
The house will have all modern amenities, air conditioning in all rooms, heating with convectors, hot water from the sun, wifi and satellite tv. Insulation for heat and moisture will be according to the highest standards. The house is offered fully equipped with appliances and furnished, ready for occupancy.

The total area of the house is 180 m2, without the patios, and it is for sale at 560.000 euros.

This is Valis's House in Messaria, Santorini. The old House is unique in any possible way. It was constructed during the period of the Ottoman occupation of the island and served as the house of the representative of the Sultan. It lays at the best location in Messaria, as it has a panoramic view of the traditional settlement and a beautiful unobstructed view of the eastern beach of camari, the Aegen sea and the island of Anafi. An other exceptional feature of the house is it's vast plot, there are very few houses in Santorini with a garden of 1600 m2.
We will renovate the old house with respect to its original architecture and we will add a living room, kitchen, bathroom and a guest room.
The house, in its final form, will have three bedrooms, its one with a private bathroom, living room, kitchen, a separate guest room, a swimming pool, beautifull garden, planted with the local flora.
An other unique feature of the house is its access by car, even thought it rests within the traditional settlement.
