Just had a fantastic day at the olive oil press. It's the season all throughout the islands for creating this delicious oil from the olive fruits off trees.

A good friend introduced me to a show in the United States that is showcasing the amazing food products that are available in Greece and being exported. I am so happy to see that premium Greek products are being recognized.
Thanks to widespread promotion of its health benefits, millions of people around the world have taken up the so-called Mediterranean diet, based around fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, herbs, honey and olive oil.

I have always tried to make dolmades but seemed to come up short. I was lucky enough to make some with the best Greek Yiayia (Grandma) around. This recipe was from her grandmother. After rolling hundreds I will dream about dolmadakia. Can't wait to try them.
