So we took the risk, a risk that felt so natural as living itself.Live-Bio is a lifestyle concept, an approach to living life the way our bios (=life in ancient Greek) is meant to be. Because life is about being creative, active, close to nature, with healthy local food and art. This was a LE-GEN-DA-RY and very special jump (-ing) for our dear friend Roland 🇦🇹 40th birthday party! 🤩🙌 We have been friends with Roland and his wife Tish 🇨🇩🇿🇦 for many years, since our time living in South Africa. There were friends joining from all around the world! There were those travelling from South Africa 🇿🇦 (Cat, Ryan, Serge, Filo, Sandra 🇿🇦🇨🇩, Dimitri 🇬🇷, Leana), from the US (Danny) 🇺🇸, from France (Marta 🇵🇹, Huguette, David, Mathilda 🇿🇦🇵🇹, Nadine, Manuella, Sifa, Baraka🇿🇦🇨🇩) 🇫🇷, plus some local friends from 😃 We had spent fabulous two weeks together enjoying our beautiful local area and this party was a culmination of it all. Long to be remembered! 🥳 Repeat at 50, right?! 😄🥰

We’ve mentioned here before (more than once for sure 😁) that is one of our absolute favourite places in (and generally). And THIS spot is definitely on top, literally 🙃. It’s not an easy place to reach (or go down from), but for those that dare to do it, the reward is monumental!🌋

Hola Ricardo, Joelle, Max y Noah! 🥰 🇪🇸 Even though it was the first time for them at Live Bio, Ricardo and Periklis have a long standing friendship which started all those ages ago in New York. The timing of their visit was great as they coincided with our dear friends from South Africa/ Austria who were visiting with their sons. There was a lot of beach and pool time, even some water sports, and a fabulous group dinner at Odyssey. All in all, while old friendships were revived, new ones were formed. Our favourite feature of Live Bio 😍 Nos vemos pronto! 🤗

Today we are jumping with Sophia from New York 🇺🇸 who combined work and pleasure on her stay in Galatopia. Some of Sophia’s highlights were a cooking class at Odyssey, joining a 30th birthday party for Dora (which we all loved so much 😍), and meeting fellow members with whom she shared some lovely moments. All in all a successful stay 😃

So some of you have already noticed, but we wanted to make it official: Live Bio is getting a new guest, a permanent one 😁 And it’s a 👧🏼 (curly hair emoticon is probably more appropriate here 😉).
This means our season is going to look a little bit different next year 😌 So please bear with us as we adapt to this new reality 😊️

It’s always wonderful to be visited by friends! And even better when they coincide with their visits 😍 Both Cat and Ryan 🇿🇦 and Georgia and Nikos 🇬🇷 are long time comers to Live Bio and Galatopia. A memory that stands out from this stay is a divine gourmet dinner prepared by Nikos (who is a chef at a Michelin star restaurant in Athens) at our home, enjoyed with some exquisite wines (and company of course 😜). Sooo when are you coming back? 😉

This lovely Polish 🇵🇱 family, Edyta, Mariusz and Nina, visited us from Zielona Góra for a nice, long stay packed with fun activities like kayaking 🛶, water skiing 🌊⛷️, motorboat tripping 🚤, Hydra island visiting 🫏and taking part in a fun potluck get together with fellow guests from South Korea and the US where we all tasted different dishes from different countries 🌯🍛🥘🍷. True moments 😍

Meet the new member of the #livebiofamily 😻! His name is Filemon (Filimonas in Greek which basically means loving and lovable 🥰) He just looooves cuddles and tummy scratches 😃 Hatulka is having a bit of a hard time befriending him, but he is not giving up and follows her EVERYWHERE all the time 😁 Ok fair enough, might be a bit intense, don’t blame her for wanting some space 😁 Things are getting better though everyday, we even caught them snuggling together in the same kitty bed #livebio #kittycat #kittylove #greekcat #catsofgreece #Poros

Devil’s Bridge, great place for a day excursion with (or without) kids, especially in the heat of summer when you crave to cool off. Haven’t had so much fun as we did last week thanks to the Crazy Turtles 🐢🐢🐢🐢 and their festival of joy 💃🕺🏻✨🪩 160 people travelled from all around Europe (and a few even beyond!) to stay in #Poros and greater #Galatopia and enjoy super cool parties in the area’s best locations! Thank you for bringing such a cool crowd to our beloved area! And for all the fun 🤩 We hope next time next year 🥰

Have you done #winetasting 🍷in the Ancient #Nemea region yet? It’s one of the experiences we highly recommend while staying with us (or in our region ☺️). Nemea is the oldest, continuously wine making region in the world (about 3000 years and counting 😃). It has some unique indigenous varieties like Agiorgitiko (Saint George) and Moschofilero (which tastes like flowers 🌺🌼🌸) - both of protected origin. Some wine makers are also bringing back some old varieties (Kidonitsa) and making some really interesting things with it (eg. using wild yeast for fermentation).There are more than 50 wine farms in the area, but we have our top 3 or 4 that we usually recommend going to. Wine tasting always needs to be pre-booked so if you are keen to dive deep into some really good Greek wines, let us know and we can book it for you ☺️
