Meet the new member of the #livebiofamily 😻! His name is Filemon (Filimonas in Greek which basically means loving and lovable 🥰) He just looooves cuddles and tummy scratches 😃 Hatulka is having a bit of a hard time befriending him, but he is not giving up and follows her EVERYWHERE all the time 😁 Ok fair enough, might be a bit intense, don’t blame her for wanting some space 😁 Things are getting better though everyday, we even caught them snuggling together in the same kitty bed #livebio #kittycat #kittylove #greekcat #catsofgreece #Poros
It’s time to close another season at Live Bio 😌 Can you believe it was our 10th?! 😲 This moment always brings bittersweet feelings - on the one hand we look forward to slowing down, on the other we know we are going to miss all the amazing people who visited us and the moments we shared together 💙 Thank you everyone who has visited us this year! And to the rest of you, we look forward to seeing you in the near future! 🤗 #endofseason #livebio #slowtravel #uniquestays #greece #poros #visitgreece
Devil’s Bridge, great place for a day excursion with (or without) kids, especially in the heat of summer when you crave to cool off. Temperature is always a bit lower here and cold mountain water very refreshing ❄️💦🌳Add it to your list of things to do while staying with us 😊#travelwell #greece_is_awesome #discovergreece #slowtravel #peloponnese
Haven’t had so much fun as we did last week thanks to the Crazy Turtles 🐢🐢🐢🐢 and their festival of joy 💃🕺🏻✨🪩 160 people travelled from all around Europe (and a few even beyond!) to stay in #Poros and greater #Galatopia and enjoy super cool parties in the area’s best locations! Thank you for bringing such a cool crowd to our beloved area! And for all the fun 🤩 We hope next time next year 🥰
Have you done #winetasting 🍷in the Ancient #Nemea region yet? It’s one of the experiences we highly recommend while staying with us (or in our region ☺️). Nemea is the oldest, continuously wine making region in the world (about 3000 years and counting 😃). It has some unique indigenous varieties like Agiorgitiko (Saint George) and Moschofilero (which tastes like flowers 🌺🌼🌸) - both of protected origin. Some wine makers are also bringing back some old varieties (Kidonitsa) and making some really interesting things with it (eg. using wild yeast for fermentation). There are more than 50 wine farms in the area, but we have our top 3 or 4 that we usually recommend going to. Wine tasting always needs to be pre-booked so if you are keen to dive deep into some really good Greek wines, let us know and we can book it for you ☺️
Just a little Timelapse of #Poros town from the ⛵️😌
Whoever has been to #Odyssey knows it is just a magical experience, especially for your taste buds 😋We’ve had endless dinners there over the years and yet each time we are surprised with the creativity of the Odyssey team! Every time there are some new flavours to discover 😃 And everything is made from seasonal, local ingredients including veggies and fruit from the Odyssey farm 🫑🌶️🥒🥬🍆🍅🍊🍋Honestly, Odyssey tasting menu is not to be missed while you are here! And if you want to learn some of those recipes, do one of their cooking classes 🧑🍳(Ask us to make arrangements for you)#greekfood #greekgourmet
Ancient #Mycenae is an impressive UNESCO World Heritage site about an hour and 20min drive from us. Its origin dates back to 1700/1600 BC (that’s more than 3600 years! 😲) making it second oldest civilisation in Europe (after the Minoans in Crete). Mycenae was one of the major centres of Greek civilisation and a military stronghold. Greek mythology ascribes the foundation of Mycenae to the legendary king and one of the biggest heroes of Ancient Greece - Perseus. A few generations down the line we also have Agamemnon (it’s the one that went to fight in the Troyan war🐴) who also ruled Mycenae. The golden mask you see in the video was supposedly his. Agamemnon’s tragic story (and that of his wife Clytemnestra and son Orestes) has often been written and performed at the Ancient Theatre of Epidavros. And that still happens to this day during the Theatre Festival taking place each summer. If you are into Ancient Greek history, Mycenae should definitely be on your list of places to visit. It’s a great day trip when you are staying with us. Just make sure you don’t go in the biggest heat of the day. Go earlier in the morning or later afternoon time. You can also pop in to Nafplio afterwards as it is 20min drive away ☺️This was a trip we did last year with Amelie, Konrad, Izzy and Jack 😃 #ancientgreece #unescoworldheritage
Long awaited #sail to #Spetses and recharging some batteries 💙⛵️🌊
