Great news for our guests with rental cars! 🚗

😵‍💫 Chania can get busy and chaotic for drivers in summer, but the Municipality of Chania has a solution to ease traffic and enhance your visit.

🅿️ They've introduced a free municipal parking lot just outside Chania, with electric buses running every 20 minutes from 7:00 to 22:40 (Monday to Saturday) to shuttle you to and from the town center.

🌊Welcome to Triopetra beach, situated south of Rethymno. Approximately a two hour drive away from our villas.

✨A hidden gem on the beautiful island of Crete! With its golden sands, crystal-clear waters, and stunning rocky formations (Triopetra literally means three rocks 🪨). You can also indulge in local Cretan cuisine with excellent sea food options.

👋Hello everyone! Caretta-Caretta Sea turtles have shown up in our seaside villas and they are nesting their eggs by the sand. Please be aware of the indicated areas that the eggs are nested! 🐢

✨Since we brought it up, here's some interesting facts regarding Caretta-Caretta Sea Turtles🐢

🐢The Caretta-Caretta turtles can have considerable dimensions. Imagine that the largest weights 140 kg. and measures circa 120 cm whereas the smallest measures 80 cm.

🏃‍♂️Although they are big enough, they are very fast. These turtles can reach 30km/hour and can protect themselves from possible dangers.

🌅The Caretta-Caretta turtles spawn always in the same beach where they were born. -Thus, it is important to keep the conditions for the nests survival in order to avoid the specimen extinction.

👩‍❤️‍👨Their nesting period is from June to August.

💡Only a small percentage of them is going to survive since there are many obstacles all around the beach and lights that disorientate the young turtles.

🌊Once in the water there is still danger and only one out of one thousand grows up.
