Παγκόσμια ημέρα της ελιάς. Πίνακας του Vladimir Stankofski " Ο γάμος της ελιάς "!!!!!
Η πρώτη ελιά κατά την παράδοση φυτεύτηκε από την θεά Αθηνά στον βράχο της Ακρόπολης..Ισως ήρθε από την Συρία αλλά Οι Έλληνες ήταν οι πρώτοι που καλλιέργησαν την ελιά. Στην Ελλάδα παράγουμε περίπου 300.000 τόνους λάδι, έχουμε 132 εκατομμύρια ελιές και 2.700 ελαιοτριβεία. Η Ελλάδα είναι η τρίτη μεγαλύτερη παραγωγός ελαιολάδου στον κόσμο.
Η ελιά είναι γνωστή από την αρχαιότητα στην φαρμακευτική ( Ιπποκράτης, Διοσκουρίδης κ.α.),αθλητισμό Κότινος στεφάνι ελιάς, στην θρησκεία...Σαν σύμβολο ειρήνης, σοφίας, ευφορίας, τύχης, νίκης. στην διατροφή μας, έχει υμνηθει όσο κανένα άλλο δένδρο.
Το 34% των αγροτών ασχολείται με την ελιά. Γενιές Ελλήνων έζησαν στα δύσκολα χρόνια τρώγοντας ελιές και ψωμί.
Είμαι του ήλιου η θυγατέρα η πιο απ όλες χαϊδευτή...
Όπου κι αν λαχω κατοικία δεν μ απολειπουν οι καρποί...μ έχει ο Θεός ευλογημένη κι είμαι γεμάτη προκοπή..Είμαι η ελιά η τιμημένη..Κ.Παλαμας..

Each night we have a visitor in our vegetable garden, digging deep holes and destroying the plants.
And now we know. We caught him on camera. It is a HUGE #ασβός #άρκαλος .
Glad the garden isn't so productive anymore. No choice then let him dig? What else can we do? They are protected animals.

We told them we are closed. So they squatted the outdoor lamp.
If anyone wants to buy our place, these tenants are included.
For now there are four of them.
As long as they stay here, it is dark outside....
