Each night we have a visitor in our vegetable garden, digging deep holes and destroying the plants.
And now we know. We caught him on camera. It is a HUGE #ασβός #άρκαλος .
Glad the garden isn't so productive anymore. No choice then let him dig? What else can we do? They are protected animals.

We told them we are closed. So they squatted the outdoor lamp.
If anyone wants to buy our place, these tenants are included.
For now there are four of them.
As long as they stay here, it is dark outside....

Almost Sinterklaas. December 6 is considered his birthday. The festival involves Sinterklaas giving gifts to every child who has been good in the past year.
In the Netherlands it is also time for the original "pepernoten".
It is a chewy, light brown and anise-tasting pastry that is mainly eaten during the Sinterklaas (Agios Nicolaos) season.
It is a very traditional handmade cookie made from rye flour with honey and anise and have an irregular shape.

FOR SALE from May 2024.
It became a season in which we made many decisions. And we gradually found out that it is time for the next chapter.
The years start to count, the amount of work that keeps coming back, the "to do" lists are getting longer. People are falling away all around us.
All these are reasons to start claiming more time for ourselves. It's time to retire.

We would like to thank you, guests, friends and family, for the wonderful years we had at Footscapes. For your warm support. You have helped us develop and expand our small company. Because we felt encouraged to think beyond boundaries and try new things.

Thanks everybody who made this season a beautiful one for us. We had lovely guests, interesting meetings and a lots of laughs.

Our work is not done yet. We need to clean everything, do some laundry and preparing for winter.

Tygo Okay, now it is my turn to introduce myself. I am a big cuddler, fearless, my purring is very loud. I follow you like your shadow. I am the tiny one. My sis Bliss is bigger and stronger. I don't like it if she jumps on me. I have a loud voice. I let you know if there is something I don't like. I think that will be easy for you than you know when to help me. This is Bliss, the sister of Tygo. They are found beside a busy road. Probably dropped there, near a monastery. No mother... So we foster them for Cretan Cat-a-List , until we have found a forever home for them. Tomorrow I show you Tygo in a video. Bliss is very active, always playing or... eating. She is a very healthy, cute, purring kitten. Very independent. In the beginning she needed to trust us. And new people or loud sounds makes her a bit nervous. She likes to sit on our lap.
