There will be a static exhibition of the cars in the Town Hall area as well as some cars’ shows on a specific closed route from the Bank of Greece to the Town Hall. The event is aimed at celebrating the love of motoring, honoring Rhodes racing history and spreading the message of road safety. For the 59th time the doors of The Panhellenic Agricultural Products and Handmade Crafts Exhibition of Kremasti is opened for the visitors from 9 till 23/08/2024, with the culmination of the celebrations from the 15th of August – National Holiday in Greece, The Assumption of Virgin Mary. You can light a candle at the Virgin Mary church in Kremasti and also visit the Exhibition and Funfair located in the nearby area. They were built along the coastline of the island in order to overlook the sea and protect the citizens from the invasions. Many of the castles were ruined, but some of them still exist. This year the famous Nick Galis International Tournament takes place on Rhodes, in the village of Kalithies. The tournament will last for 3 days 15-17/09/23 with 3 well known Euroleague teams: Panathinaikos, Fenerbahçe and Maccabi Tel Aviv. Fortunately, due to the great job of the firemen and volunteers the situation is under control and the island is not in danger any more. We are grateful to all those who helped Rhodes during these difficult days of fires.🙏🙏🙏 Many thanks to all our dear friends for caring about us and for your support ❤. We are fine. Working and doing our best to cope with the situation. Life goes on. If you are thinking of visiting us this year, we do invite you to do so. Some parts of the South and center of Rhodes island suffered severe damages, but the rest of the island was not affected by fires so still there are plenty of places to visit and things to do.

The Greek tradition of giving names to the babies is quite unique – the first baby boy gets the name of his grandfather from the father’s side and the first baby girl is named after her grandma on her mother’s side. So, it is easy to choose names for at least two kids😊 Of course there might be some exceptions. We also give the names after some Saints. For example, on Rhodes there are plenty of Tsabikos and Tsabika as the church of Tsabika is famous for helping women in getting pregnant, so the happy parents name their kids accordingly. By the way, if you would like to visit the famous Tsabika monasteries, one of them is located on the top of the hill and provides fantastic panoramic views over the famous Tsabika beach, we are always here for you!
