I highly recommend a visit to the Butterflies Valley, it’s a unique experience: millions of butterflies fill this tranquil gorge from May to September. The shade of the huge plane trees and the small river running through it will make it difficult to believe you are still in Rhodos. A great half-day trip! 🦋 🌳 🏃🏻‍♂🥾

Rhodos is a great destination for those interested in water activities. Being one of the largest islands in the Aegean, it’s easy to pick a beach that best suits your style: remote or crowded, big or small, windy or calm. The choice of activities can easily keep you occupied for your whole holiday: scuba diving, sea kayaking, windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing, sea ski, jet ski... or simply go for a swim! 🏖 🏊‍♀️ ⛵️

A good night sleep and a siesta will make a huge difference to the energy you have to spend on your holiday activities. Both our bedrooms face a quiet road, surrounded by leafy trees, even though you’re just a 5 minute walk from the shops and restaurants. So relax, you’re finally on your holiday!! 🌞 🛏 😴 💤

Rhodos, like every corner of Greece, has a rich ancient history. The first cities were built by the Mycenaeans in the 15th century bc, before the Doreans arrived four centuries later. The Athenians and Spartans were fighting to get control over the island during the Peloponnesean War and later Rhodos sent an army to support Alexander the Great. The thermal springs of Kallithea are one of the places you just have to visit when in Rodos! They were being used by the Knights of St. John in 13-14th century, all the way back to the ancient Greeks in 700b.c. The premises are a fascinating example of Italian architecture and the small beach is just amazing! 🏖 ⚜️ @ Kalithea Springs, Rhodes

Why not combine the beaches and historical sites with some exercise? If you enjoy trekking, Rodos offers paths from beginners to experienced mountain walkers. After all, its highest mountain, Attavyros, is 1,216 metres high. You can find detailed information for different paths on many websites, or alternatively use one of the experienced, professional guides. Either way, you are guaranteed to enjoy it! 🌳🌾⛰ @ Rhodes

Did you know that the castle was the headquarters of the Knights of the Order of Saint John who conquered Jerusalem in 1099 during the first crusade? Between 1937-1940 it was fully restored and became a holiday residence for the King if Italy and then for Benito Mussolini. Never mind the majestic medieval castle in the old town. Walk around Rodos new town and you will fall in love with the architecture of the public buildings and normal houses. @ Rhodes
